I’ve seen a lot more unity after this event tbh. It’s a miracle Americans are so generally peaceful despite the way the negativity in the media is portrayed.

I agree, but also Fox, Newsmax, Daily Wire, OANN and various Tuckers of this world. They, the left wing and the right wing radicals, are equally complicit in spreading hate and turning people against one another. I am glad that former President Trump survived and recovered. I prayed for that. But Trump and his campaign are equally complicit. So is President Biden and his campaign. All this talk about bloodbaths, carnages, all this talk about fascism, about fellow human beings being "threats to democracy", all these dog whistles and demonization of immigrants or church going people, all this talk about "rinos" and "dinos" and the devastatingly damaging false notion that if you are not extreme in your political positions you sold yourself to the other side, or to the "establishment" or "big business" or "deep state" or "the bankers" - all this has to stop, it has to stop. It has to fuckin stop. I pray for the return of times when we used to have two centrist candidates for President - one leaning liberal, the other leaning conservative, but both moderate, respectful, eloquent politicians, family people, law abiding and upstanding citizens and human beings. It's been more than 10 years since we last had that. I hope these times will come again.

Because our Governor has a history of putting Pennsylvania's people first. Officially the investigation is "ongoing" so legally no one can talk about it yet if they are even being given all details. Which they probably are not. SS was told by crowd shooter was up there and it was ignored.
With the amount of surveillance technology that we have available to us in 2024, I find it absolutely impossible to believe that the secret service couldn't have seen this guy! Impossible. There was a breach in security and somebody inside the secret service is responsible.
Biden spoke publicly, and condemned this and all political violence. As Gov Shapiro did, and as everyone should. Seeing some people take a different position is very scary and disheartening.

I agree with everything you’ve shared with us. Violence is unacceptable any time. I do have to mention that Mr Trump’s aggression displayed as Secret Service was escorting Mr Trump to the nearby vehicle, raising his fist and shouting to the crowd of attendees shouting “FIGHT!” Is not acceptable for someone who wants to be re-elected to hold the position of America’s President. This is a display of what American is NOT all about. I’d take a real good look at this person to what his beliefs are bc this is not the kind of America we are to the world or would want to become to be known as.

This could have been avoided had the Pa police and the SS listened to the group of guys having a party across the street and told them there was a man with an assault weapon and they didn't listen or do anything yet they saw him. How can it be that the alleged shooter was outside of the area of the rally if: A Secret Service (SS) agent reportedly saw another rooftop clearly and rally audience members were able to enter the area where the shooter allegedly was located? If the SS agent was monitoring the situation for a solid 10 minutes, why did they only react after the fact? Why did bystanders claim to have seen a man with a rifle, yet these reports were seemingly ignored? It's worth noting that if someone were to report a person walking around in public with an AR-15 rifle, it's likely that law enforcement would respond quickly to the scene. This raises questions about why there seemed to be a delay in responding to these reports at the rally

This is a man rich enough to never work a day in his life, living it stress free on a boat. yet he is risking his life to be president. This is a highly stressful job and lower on what would be his pay scale. He has risked his freedom and now life and still continues to want to fight for the position. This should be an eye opener to all Americans that This is the man who will actually fight for you!
