The fallen angel and Pabllo holding that weapon reminds me of the beginning of the full G.U.Y. song from Lady Gaga, the (10+ min version) in wich she is an angel shooted by this same weapon, but I don't know, it could have another meaning, like just representing Lucifer, and the library maybe means the forbidden knowledge? I don't know, maybe I'm going too far and they just wanted to build a beautiful scene 😆 Now about the lyrics, there is some things that you may have not catched because they used some slangs and some specific brazilian cultural references: Wandinha is the adaptated name Wednesday Addams received in the brazilian dubbing of Addams Family. It means like "little Wanda", it's easier to say for brazilian audiences. Now, about "Pirigoth" 😄 it was a very funny translation. Pirigótica is a merge between "piranha" (the fish) with "gótica" (feminine for goth). Piranha is used to refer to a very "easy woman", a woman that have a lot of sexual partners and is always going to new ones. Urban dictionary says: "A Brazilian depreciating word that means b*tch, whore, harlot... Whatever It's just a b*tch trying to get your man. Keep your eyes on her ¬.¬" 😅 but it's used in a funny way in the song. Some girls usually joke that they're looking "pirigótica" when wearing more sexy dark/goth clothes/make up, etc. And "brand new" was another funny translation, even though it was right. Novinho can mean brand new, but it is also the diminutive of "novo" (new) and it's used like a slang to refer to a young boy, in a desiring/sexual way, more used by the LGBT community.
This music video was flawless! Easily one of the best of her career. Actually, we're also trying to figure out the symbolism, there's a lot. But in short, it's a lot about the way lgbt culture is demeonized by conservatism.
I think the video represents the LGBT people as something scary bc that's how the conservative people from Brazil see then, so I the kiss would be there just for the video. Gloria and Pabllo begin to start kissing while promoting the song (but they been best friends for a long time) I love that you actually do an analysis of the video and not just a reaction, keep up with the good work
Wandinha is Wednesday Addams. Somehow when The Addams Family where translated by the first time to portuguese, they translated Wednesday to Wandinha (even though Wednesday means quarta-feira in portuguese)
