Pablo de Sarasate Carmen Fantasy, Op. 25 Katariina Maria Kits, violin (16) The Symphony Orchestra of Tallinn Music High School Conductor Mikk Murdvee 20th of December, 2011 Tallinn Methodist Church, Estonia.
I'm bookmarking this. So rare to just have one camera angle at the soloist the entire time, and also a masterful performance, as well. My favorite in watching soloists play is to watch their left hands. And that's difficult to do when the camera is panning all around, getting shots of heads, conductor's backsides, and people staring listlessly in the audience--and just as the good part comes along. ;)
@befranklintoo Thank you! There is a bit less freedom yes, beacuse it was one of the days she was a bit nervous and tense. There is still another performance of this piece where she is may-be a bit more free :) You can find it on our channel.
This little butterfly has all the colors and dynamics of true violinist, rare to the occasion of contemporaries in the field. The passion of performance is highly respect among connoisseurs of the instrument. She need not prove her abilities at this point, her elegance of touch is more than compromising, it is clear to the tone. perhaps repetition of certain passages of compositions are not play with full passion. I would like her to have the freedom to cadenza at these points with her own feel
For her age to say she is good won't be hard to have her album if she keep going depands do she want to be "Tehudi Menuhin" or "Gerhard Taschner" both of them are legend but go different way
