Honestly, I wonder if Re-Pac was probably planned to start development earlier, but the AtGames shenanigans in late 2019 delayed development until they just went "fuck it, lets just replace Ms. Pac-Man with an OC donut steel"

She’ll always be Ms. Pac-Man in-universe, at least. Let’s hope this somehow ends someday, though.

Correction, both versions have cropped Widescreen. It's just the GameCube version's cropped Widescreen isn't that noticeable.

Never thought of it that way. Usually franchise anniversaries only take the first release date into account, rather than development.

@@ToastyMann Even to this day, after all the horrible things you said about the original PS1 version of Pac-Man World (I'm not trying to "justify the fundamental flaws of this game" or so lack of that you and other RU-vidrs like ExoParadigmGamer in his "Remake or Rebreak" and Tehsnakerer like to point out. Maybe it is objectively flawed, but I'm just too happy with people like KingK, coopercastille and Luna Morley for seeing a lot of the greatness this game for home consoles has to offer from the graphics to the music to the first, third and even sixth worlds. Maybe it doesn't have the most consistent gameplay, but the reason why I still like it a lot for more reasons than just nostalgia would have to be because of its graphics, music, originality, experimentation, gameplay whenever the levels themselves feel smooth to navigate though, style, characters, first sequel and batshit insanity), I still hold this underrated game (save for the GBA version) to high standards. Surely, Pac-Man World 2 (mainly the PS2/Gamecube versions), Pac-Man World Rally and Pac-Man World Re-Pac (save for the downgraded cutscenes because of how tame they are by comparison) are objectively improvements over the original, but regardless of what weaknesses the latter may fix and even if the third game is mainly something we may have a soft spot for if only because of our 2000s nostalgia for this franchise,, I think this game always deserved to be remembered far more more than, say, the Bubsy series and teen sitcom channels (no offense to the people that like Disney Channel and Nickelodeon. Nostalgia can be powerful).
