I got accepted and was given close to a full ride! If I go, I’ll commute from my home in the Bronx to save money. I’m excited to go but I’m slightly worried about making friends- especially in this pandemic.

If you got a full ride it makes sense to live on campus plus you can always get a job and work down by Pace!! It is hard to make friends if you don’t live on campus as a freshman

does anyone know how it is to study for a japanese language degree there? i’m looking at schools in the state and there’s not any info i can find from students who studied it. i’m worried about how good the teachers are bc learning a foreign language is hard

I’m currently trying to deal with homesickness if I go here. I am definitely independent but it’s the fact that I’ll be leaving my family. It’s such a great opportunity though, especially for me to expand my networking

I would have to disagree with what you said about being financially stable. Yes, Pace is VERY expensive but if have an average income that falls below a certain bracket you get a ridiculous amount of scholarships. For example I have a single mom and we have an average annual income of just shy of 25000 a year but I'm looking at a full ride! If you can handle a part-time job you can use that for other expenses. Pace also has work studies. So I would say that you could go to pace even if you are not financially stable just as long as you have the motivation to make up for it :)

The amount of the tution fees is too high..but,I have some extra curriculum activities such as graphics designing, singing and playing different types of instruments...and got 7.5 at IELTS exam..is there any possibility to get a scholarship at pace university?

Larger rooms, Nicer and newer building, brand new lounge/game room, and its not in the same building as your classes so you get to experience more of the city! Those were my factors hope that helped.

@@Malcolmxcharles Pace is not worthy it, because it's made expensive plus school loans, and the dorm room. Cuny is better then Suny, because they have programs like seek,and College discoverer. I rather go to Hunter college, and graduate debt free.They're also more diversity then suny school's.

No lol. Not all professors are unprofessional. But the exams are pretty on par with difficulty as to be expected.

Yea man work as much as you can as long as you don't take away from study time! You'll need money to thrive in NYC so the more you have obviously the better.

Don't be worried haha its different from Cali but amazing. It is expensive but Pace offers a lot of scholarships and financial aid. If you google scholarships.org many will come up. Average class sizes are about 30 students

Pricing definitely is a big commitment and factor to consider. But if you want a good education and opportunity to live in NYC then you have to take it!

i’m really worried about the academics at pace. the social life and campus really fit me and the money is fine but i am very hesitant that i am not going to be getting a good education as a premed biology person. is it really that mediocre??

Many people choose pace as a premed bio school and it is a pretty intensive program. It also has great opportunities to transfer and/or get into a solid med school post undergrad! Hope this helped, dm on instagram if you have anymore questions

Yes I dormed my first semester and with the covid precautions and such it wasn't the most feasible for me so now I moved to a brownstone on the upper east side!

Broadway is def the way to go!! You pick the dorm by going into your "Pace portal" then going to the students tab, then housing and from there you can pick your housing, and if you know who you want as your roommate. Hope this helps, dm on instagram if you have any other questions!

hey! I just got accepted to pace. they gave $80,000 in total for the 4 years. I am still unsure of what I am going to do. In terms of the school, I've heard its ridiculously overpriced and I wouldn't want to end school having an overbearing amount of debt. Should I consider the school. Hey Sara! Congrats on the acceptance, it is expensive, if you really want to live in nyc and get a solid education with an overalI good time, I would recommend Pace. But if you want to save money while living in the city I'd say check out a cuny school.

There are plenty of on campus jobs for you to apply to. You can also apply to jobs off campus, there are advisors that will help you find a job if you want one. You can also commute instead of dorming (if possible) to save money

I was just accepted today! I’m pretty sure I’ll end up going here because they offered me the most in scholarships($86,000),and because it’s located in New York which is where id love to be for college. I’ll be starting in fall 2021!! But after watching your video I’m worried about how expensive it’ll be. I’ve been poor my whole life and I don’t think I’ll be able to live comfortably down there; and I’d have to get a dorm since I live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and couldn’t commute. What should I do?!!

Congratulations ! New York is amazing, and the best advice I can give you is to come. Not a single person lives "comfortably" in NYC, thats the reality. But you'll make it work I'm sure. Pace gives great financial aid and scholarships like you received. You can always apply for more scholarships and once you finish semester one, if you have above at 3.3 gpa you get access to even more money and opportunity. Long story short, come to NYC and figure the rest out later. hope this helps

Most people usually don’t have much money saved. The average cost of Pace after aid is $28-$29k it can be less if your grades are good enough for Pace grants. Save as much as possible but if you want to pay less then I suggest living off campus or commuting from home instead of dorming if possible :)

I just recently got accepted to pace and got $102,500/4 years without FAFSA but obviously it’s still expensive. I heard that if you ask for more money, you’ll get it almost totally paid for. Is that true?

Thats very similar to the scholarship I received actually! And the truth is it is unlikely you'll get anymore money out of Pace without meeting clear need-based criteria which Fafsa will determine.

I got accepted to Pace in HS, but I turned it down, because they didn't give the most money, and I just couldn't afford it, because I come from a low-income family. I'm a sophomore at Bronx community college, and I'm graduating with my associate degree in May, then transferring to Cuny City College for my bachelor's in business administration. What do you plan on doing after you graduate from Pace?
