The Knicks suffered their worst defeat of the season in Game 2 of the second round of the playoffs agains the Pacers in Indiana. The Knicks had just 3 players with double digit points, Alec Burks, Miles McBride, and Jalen Brunson. The Knicks look to get back on track in game 5 in front of The Garden Faithful.

When your PG is pretty banged up, he shouldn’t be holding the ball 80% of the time. It’s time to switch to equal ball distribution. Let the chips fall where they may. They’re still individually talented and each know their role. He just doesn’t have the gas or the strength to continue in his usual high-octane moves. However, the Knicks can still use his shooting skills while acting as bait. He simply cannot continue the same way up to round four of the playoffs if they’re lucky enough to win this round.

Not worried about the Knicks because of their will but because they are so thinly stretched out. It shows how tired they are. Lots of short shots, not finishing at the rim. This is the issue when injuries come about this time of year but prior to the OG injury blame Thibodeau. He was running an extremely short rotation.

If the Knicks had Mitch & OG and still lost, I wouldn’t be so concerned. But without Mitch & OG (and Randle and Bogdanovic), I’m definitely concerned. I’m happy that we’ve got two games at MSG yeah … but it feels like the Pacers have hit their nitro button 🔥

Knicks did forget about game 4, but remembered to avenge the loss of the G4 and dominated G5 and went up 3-2. Knicks in 6.

We had one of the best benches in the league and gave them all away, along with RJ, for 3 journeyman and a guy who can't stay healthy and doesn't like playing hurt. We need to rebuild our bench again. Funny how the Pacers 2nd unit, including Obi, get plenty of minutes, but we couldn't find enough minutes for Quick, Grimes and Obi. When OG got hurt he was playing more minutes than he ever played in his career, and he was coming off an injury!

Point , with Julius the best all around big man player for the Knicks ,bogy ,Mitch and now og healthy the knick can not win the Eastern conference finals. Also agreed you do not run your player in the ground. You have to have a deeper rotation and trust in your players.

There is no next man up when you have players on the bench that you're not playing in the game with situation like this get tough and try to play them now there's no positive effect

Well if Shake Milton is next man up then we are pretty much screwed lol.. Diaxinte was on the floor 😅 no knock on the dude but he shouldn’t see any minutes in the playoffs.. it is what it is, our boys ran out of gas.. hopefully this rest gives them the boost they need to get the W in game 5

Lack of size and rim protection with Mitchell and OG out has been glaring. Pacers are almost scoring at will once they get by the primary defender and into the paint. Also noticed how no one on the Knicks roster is able to dish out punishing, hard fouls. McConnell and the other guards would think twice about driving into the lane if someone like Oak or Mason was waiting for them there.

There are no legit "next man up" players left. There either hurt or on other teams, ie...RJ, IQ, Obi & Grimes. All young with fresh legs.

Just admit it. Those guys are tired and we all know why. Wanna know why the bench sucks? Because they have no chemistry. They’ve never played long enough together as a unit, nor with the starters. That’s how dumb the team has been coached FOR YEARS!

There’s a lot of if’s. I’m a diehard Knick but we’re banged up and the Pacers are wearing JB down. The truth is Indy is going to get this. Knicks need to re-visit and make some adjustments during the offseason. We don’t have a bench and the players we have Thips is wearing them down. Love my Knicks though.

This is all Thibbs' fault forcing guys to play too many minutes which causes injuries like Derek Rose. Instead of sitting Brunson for games 3-4 to have him healthy for 5,6, and possibly 7, we put him out there hobbled and we get our ass' embarrassed and exposed. 😡
