A lovely wedding planner captured this exclusive video of our string quartet performing the classic wedding favorite, Canon in D (Pachelbel's Canon) as our bride walked down the aisle last weekend.
as a musician, let me mention what probably was happening to the quartet - the violinists are suffering - the violists are dying - the cellists are skeletons
As the performer, I can assure you this was not the case, but I know how many musicians feel about Pachelbel. We really enjoy it as it doesn't come up that often anymore! We play for 75 weddings a year and it's almost always a pop song, so it's nice to play something we have perfectly memorized and can easily cadence when the bride reaches the top of the aisle.
@@trevorbenboe1562 Not everyone hates it, but it used to be played a LOT. The cello line is literally the same 8 notes over and over again, so this isn’t typically a cellist’s favorite lol
@@coolbreeze5683 It's funny you say that, 'cause I feel the same so I always ask my couples what their favorite part is. Then, I create a custom cut just for them. (My personal favorite is in the middle, what's yours?)
It ruins the shot when random people film with their phones. Can you please put your phone away? This day is not about you. You came as a guest. This is no time to Snapchat or whatever!! 😡🤬
