@@rooone6588 But if that were the case they would be too fast for you to see. What is happening is due to a harmonic relationship between the vibration rate of the strings and the scan rate of the camera. If the -vibration rate exactly matched the scan rate then the strings would appear to be still. Its called the stroboscopic effect, as used in the timing of mechanical motion.
+kuttmoped The vibrating strings look very unnerving, as if there are loose strings on the harp that could interfere with the music at any moment! But yes, beautifully played.
+kuttmoped If you have iMovie, this can be fixed. Select the clip that you want to fix then click the "Fix rolling shutter" option beside the "Fix shaky video" option. I've fixed it before with this setting. It's very simple.
Did you try it on the strings? I'm not sure if this is fixable so easy since the whole frame doesn't wobble. PS: I don't use "I" products :) Lets see if APP can fix that ;)
old school thrash metal There’s Rock versions too, my favorite (so far) is by Stringspace. I’m trying to find the oldest version tho (btw my preferred bands are OLD Alice In Chains, Mother Love Bone, the Cure & Mad Season)
A young lady played this music at my darling daughters wedding on her harp, it was the most beautiful moment of my life. It still brings a tear to my eye when I hear it played so beautifully.
My daughter had this played on the harp at her wedding here in Wales two years ago. It's absolutely beautiful and whenever I hear it, beautiful and precious emotions wash over me.❤️
I've been listening to this usually every night before I go to sleep, or when I'm drawing. I first heard it when I was 11. I'm 16 now. and the beauty still captivates me each time. this will always be my favorite performance of my favorite song. Thankyou.
I'm currently learning Celtic harp and Sylvia is awesome. Kinda wishing I hadn't gone straight up Renaissance and commissioned a handmade 24 string Gothic harp (replica of the 16th Century Glarean harp with brays and all) and had got the 29 string modern Celtic harp instead. Derp. It's still a phenomenal instrument and is more than enough to learn on, especially with Sylvia's help lol
deches here, Hello Lauren, Your playing of one of my favorite pieces of music is by the far the best I've heard on a harp, it is superb, thank you so much, it has brought me great joy to listen to it 💐💞💞🌺🌹🌹
This is so beautiful it is said that as Adam and Eve were been banished from Eden; their cries touched God's heart and out of pity he whispered to the angel leading them out "let them take music" that music resides in the Harp God bless you, your music and all those who are touched by it.
Catholic Devotions wow, during my journaling and meditations the other day I was listening to Pacabel’s canon in the background and began to think music had to be a creation from God in heaven. You’re comment here validated what I was musing.
This brings me back to last year's Christmas. I had been away for school for most of the year, but I was able to come back for Christmas Eve and spend time with my family. I am grateful that I also got to spend time with my dog before he passed away a couple months later. This song is so peaceful and it reminds me of how peaceful it was to see my old dog curled up in his little bed in front of the heater we had set up for him. It’s just one of the many memories I will cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you!
Whenever I hear this piece, I see myself in a bright cathedral, adorned with white garments and roses. I imagine rows and rows of my closest relatives and friends, silently cheering me on from the sides. I imagine the sensation of my delicate bridal train, trailing gracefully of the majestic red carpet. And if I close my eyes, I can actually feel my every step on the velvety floor, about to be united with the love of my life. Now, I don't particularly care much for sentimentality, but this particular piece makes me in a mood where I tend to appreciate the softer side of the emotional spectrum. The very rendition is almost better than the piano version, if not just as pleasing. This person is very talented.
I've played viola (and violin) for nearly thirty years now, and picked piano back up in my late adulthood, so Pachelbel's Canon has always held a special place in my heart for all three of my played instruments; but here the harp truly does it justice bringing forth the deep resonance of its chords and melody over harmonies. So, to anyone who would just overlook the harp as "just another stringed instrument" watch this simple, yet elegant, video and truly appreciate what a unique and beautiful stringed instrument this concert harp is.
Such a peaceful piece; and you can appreciate it more the way how, in the background, you see all these fast cars, all the 'fuss-and-buss' of people. The video pretty much tells us to take a breather for once in a while, we'll all get to our destination eventually :)
I've watched this for the umpteenth time and just noticed the contrast of the lovely room and the cars on the motorway below rushing by to the music. This video of your version of Canon has been inspiring me for a year, not only to learn it on autoharp but to pursue my dream or learning a real harp. I have just started lessons and this tune is a future goal. Great video, Cheers, g
wow i am on this video because im thinking of hiring a harpist for my wedding next year ... i am now decided ... what a beautiful sound ... you have melted me and this is from a guy who loves fat basses and dubstep lol .
Hi Lauren Wow. Beautifully played. and I love the arrangement.I am also a harper ( Celtic Harp)I have never played the Canon in D, but figure it's time I did lol.Whose arrangement is it? Thanks from Paulette
I have a 19-string Celtic harp that I figured out an arrangement of this song on with as many of the bells and whistles as I could figure out how to fit on there. It's fun to do, and it's not all that hard really. Beautifully played, by the way.
I've played this many times on the violin. Lovely playing and tempo; I've heard this played very fast. I had an aunt who played harp, but she passed away without me having heard her. I'm inspired to learn! Thanks for posting - the world is aching for Beauty.
No matter how bad a day I've had, I can count on this video to restore a sense of calm and inner peace. I am always mesmerized by the waves on the harp strings and your concentration and poise. Beautiful.
listening to this I can see the Angels dancing lightly on their feet... their wings beating in time with your lovely rhythm. Thank you for this... is heavenly.
I love this song when i was younger i used to listen to my sister play this and i used to hum along.... nostalgia is the word I'm using to describe this....
I love the contrast of busy traffic outside where time goes by fast and inside a beautiful woman playing beautiful music where time seems to have slowed down a lot.
Como pode ter 15 deslikes?? A música é linda, a garota também é linda, sem falar que ela toca muito bem, simplesmente incrível. Não sei o que se passa na cabeça de uma pessoa que da deslike em um vídeo desse.
I am playing this on my clarsach at the moment. This was very helpful. I am only 11 and have been playing for around 4 years. I can’t believe I have not found this account yet! Thank you 😊
