I have what might be a bit of a stupid question. If you hit a wave and get the screws out of the water do you need to throttle back like a piston engine? Or does the turbine just maintain a steady enough RPM (loaded or unloaded) that it’s not an issue?
Not a stupid question.... but the turbines do not have the response on the throttle like a piston engine. basically I do not throttle back any time the props leave the water. I noticed the RPM doesnt spike like a piston engine. I have the friction locks on the throttles set so tight i can just set them and forget them until more or less power is desired.
