I love the History Channel's "Dogfights" series and this is my Homage to it.
However this is purely fictional and is NOT based on any real events.
A pair of F6-F's come to help SBD's from being attacked by Zero's but one of them gets a Japanese Ace on his SIX and it becomes a game of Cat and Mouse with the Hellcat as the mouse.
After a long Duel and a severe maulling the Hellcat pilot finally manage's to get the Zero in his crosshairs and destroy him.
The Hellcat has taken a critical beating and the pilot has no choice but to bail out, but he has survived the "Pacific Duel".

Great clip! I especially liked the scene where the camera angle is static on the tail of the F6 looking forward. Great perspective. Thanks for sharing this nice piece of art!

Cool little movie. I love the Hellcat. Excellent camera work and flying. Very nice music as well. The only thing I didn't like was the shooting at the Zeke that already had lost a wing. cheers

Hey CM6, Just a little suggestion to your "DogFight" Tributes. If you made them a little more fast paced if you know what I mean. Same goes with the music. The intesinty is there though not amplified. Tough I love the desaturation is awesome and composing your own music is great too. Just a little constructive critiscism I still like your style alot.

Very nice , But , theres always a but , the jerkyness gets a bit anoying after a while , what are u useing to track the aircraft? Lovely crisp picture and settings and good to hear my sounds in somone elses movie , 5 outa 5 cos I know what a pain in the butt it is trying to make movies from this game

Hi Jafa Cheers buddy thanks for kind word really appreciate it. I am using the mouse to track and purposely adding movement to give the impression that its being filmed from another aircraft. Your dead right off course about using it to much,I will limit it to using only in turns during combat and not so much when flying straight. By the way I LOVE the sounds Mod,Thanks for that and the Rating. Respect Keith :-)

Hi CM6 ! Congratulation with your movie. I'm dying to know how you manage to get the view on the 1:44 mark. Is it a wise use of your video editing software on F8 view, or did you play around with the .ini file? I know that an other movie maker named Jafaem used this view as well in his "Airshow" movie. Please let me know how you did this or lead me to where you found the settings. Thx and well done again.

No worries at all CheckMySix. Actually u did respond to my question the day I left it on your page :) But I still pretty much appreciate that you come back on it just to make sure. I currently play on Pacific Fighters and I'm dying to find 1946 series because that AAA mod is not compatible with PF as far as I know. C you around. Maybe I'll really check your six one day XD Take care mate !

Hi AvalaNo1 Cheers my friend really ,I wanted it to look like a "Dogfights" episode,so for you to say it looks better is really great and I really appreciate your nice comment. The Desaturation is done with a program called Pixelan Spice FX Correction Pack E1 used with windows movie maker. Thanks Again Respect CM6 :-)

Hi Jokkersx Your welcome buddy. I set my water to =2 max also, it looks great and if it set higher it can effect Fraps framerate. Fraps isnt great over water even at =2 especially with multiple objects so a higher value would be a framerate killer. I havn't changed sky,forest,land or shadow for same reason. This MAY vary though depending on system spec. Thanks again mate. Respect CM6 :-)

HI Eximius84 Thanks a lot mate. I will try your tip about Brass next time ,this was a bit of a rush job as I only received MMM from Amazon 2 days before posting this vid. I had the vid ready with no music and after a few hours practice on MMM I came up with this score. If I had taken longer it would have been better but all things considered I am quit pleased with it. Hi mavyalex Yeah I created the soundtrack myself so as to avoid copyright violation. I used Magix Music Maker Soundpool DVD Collection 15[£19.99],this version comes with a Movie Score genre which is the one I used. I only received it from Amazon 2 days before posting vid and knocked this together quick hence No brass. Its very user friendly. Make sure if you do buy that it has BONUS:Magix Music Make Basic Edition included or you wont be able to use. Have fun Respect Keith :-)

Hi fusion4bass Thanks mate. I made the music with Magix Music Maker Soundpool 15 so as not to violate copyright. MMM is so easy to use,I have no musical ability but was able to create this score in about 1 1/2 hours,I am really pleased with results. Thanks again Respect CM6 :-D

Hi mavyalex Unless you know 100% that a piece of music is not copyright then you should assume it is. Even modifying music is a violation without the owners permission. The only way to guarentee that you are NOT violating copyright is to create your own music,hence I suggested Magix Music Maker. Besides you are rewarded with making your own music and you WONT have it removed by RU-vid. Respect Keith :-)

@Ricardowgr - Actually, I don't miss any narration. To the dedicated Flight simmer/aviation enthusiast, all that stuff is 'understood'. If someone is really interested, they'll do some reading on their own (nothing like the retention of researching it on your own!) If this were an Av Channel vid, that's a different story. Dialogue is an art as well. Knowing when it's needed is key.

@lqiyun7 I am sure it does but if not you can pick up il2 1946 really cheap now. You have to create yellow folder and call it "mod" in IL-2 Root and put New Mods including PAT_Smoke into it then download "Jgsmemod" add the PAT_Smoke mod into the Jgsmemod folder then activate using Jgsmemod Generator Cheers Keith :-)

@lqiyun7 Cheers Buddy You need a Mod called PatSmoke from AllAircraftSimulation com. It allows you to unlock the F2 External view an pan around freely. You use F8 and F9 Keys to activate. Hope this helps Keith :-)

Y would you keep shooting a zero with no wing and follow him down makes no sense, cam shakes a lot nice to have a little shake but that was to much but still very entertaining well done

Hi nuk3m3vil Cheers buddy, I am that noob, I was flying like this on purpose so as to give the impression I was being mauled by an Ace[HONEST] lol :p The Hellcats thick armour could take a lot of punishment unlike the more manouverable but less armoured Zero. HI RealAussieAirForce Yeah your right he didnt, but lucky for the pilot the Hellcat's were able to take a lot of punishment unlike the more agile but less armoured Zero. Besides it was yours truely flying th F6 so he had to win lol:p Thanks again buddy Respect Keith :-)

I used PATsmoke MOD which allows you to un-padlock camera and pan freely around. Go to AllAircraftArcade for MOD. Hope this helps and sorry again for late response. Respect Keith :-D

@numaiprostiaaramas You need a editing Program like Photoshop or Gimp[Free] Then using a Default Skin or a downloaded one Create a Layer and add Image of Rising Sun image then Reduce Size to represent Kill Marking. This is a very basic explaination of whats involved. Keith :-)

cant play much anymore thnx to my crappy video card:/ have to play on very low graphig compared to what i used to play, and then i still lagg, besides it aint much fun anymore in game with all those lies about me, soon ive got bf2 and then i go back to my sniper skills instead of flying skills, somethimes ill be found in il2, but just in private servers for like 30 minutes for having some fun with my nephew. raiderone, out.

Hi modwebby Yeah it would be great,but it took a team of top programmers and professional film directors and Millions of Dollars. We can do it with IL-2 for £5.00 lol :p O.K its not quite the same but its all we have. Laters Keith ;-)
