We are cruise newbies. The Explorer will be our first. And I must say I've been a bit worried this week. I'm not good in crowds and I get travel sick. I love your video. Brilliant idea for folk like me. Can you stay in the food centres a bit longer so we can see the whole set up please? Your video is also of our floor. It's exciting and challenging. If they dont have the bounty cruise from Sydney Harbour i will definately be thinking of going over to New Zealand to do the Bounty cruise it is on my bucket list of cruises
@rayandjotravels6069 It is a confusing layout takes a bit to get used to it. Staff are all absolutely lovely. For us we found everything we went to do was always a line up especially shows. We are heading back on in April going to PNG.
Looks like you had a great time, I've been on this ship 4 times when it was the Dawn Princess, one of my favourite ships, I'm on it again next your with family that have never cruised before, thanks for your cruise story I really enjoyed it❤

Thank you for watching. Generally, the roughest part is when you leave Auckland! But it's not bad at all. Because the Explorer is not a large ship she has more movement than say, a Princess ship. But honestly movement at sea is minimal. Hope your wife gets interested. Good luck.
Hi, we have cruised with Princess Cruises - Majestic Princess and we are looking at doing this exact cruise with P&O Pacific Explorer - Pacific Islands. How would you compare Pacific Explorer with Majestic Princess in terms of ship quality, entertainment, room, and food? We loved Majestic Princess and we are hoping we get the same level of quality on the pacific explorer. Thank you
Hi, Unfortunately Pacific Explorer is not up to Majestic Princess standards in all areas so you may be disappointed. Having said that Pacific Explorer is simply showing signs of her age. We have been on her several times, and we see the deterioration. But one thing that doesn't change is itinerary of Fiji, Tonga and Norfolk Island which is great. @@rayandjotravels Hi Ray and Jo, thanks for your reply. I really appreciate your inputs on the pacific explorer compared to the majestic princess. I am now considering to book the Royal Caribbean quantum of the seas instead of the pacific explorer, however the price difference at this stage is $2000-2500 more for the royal caribbean. We plan to go on a cruise March/April 2025. Lot's of thinking to do...............
@@fisherboy444 Hi. 2K is a big difference. We have never cruised with Royal Caribbean but have watched many videos of her. Honestly, we would hop back on Pacific Explorer tomorrow as it's still a wonderful ship and I hope we haven't sold her short. The crew are brilliant, the food is of high standard and the itinery is always neat. Decisions, decisions. Let us know how you get on!

Hey thank you. No, we don't enough for a drinks package, but a coffee/tea/soft drink package seems popular. There is tea, coffee available in the pantry 24/7. We would recommend you take your own cup/mug. There are also the odd water type station where you can fill a water bottle. Enjoy your cruise!!
No, we didn't get the package but I think it is quite reasonable. From talking to those who did get it, they seemed happy. I think if we do that cruise again, we would get it.
Hey thanks for watching and have fun on 29th. We have a cousin and her husband going to that one. I see Mystery Island is on the itinery, well 4 times we've tried to land there but as yet we have been unsuccessful. Oh and the high tea was $30 pp and it was bloody lovely!
