In addition to not having any jump helmet available, they also have the wrong hat. These are Imperial Japanese NAVY paratroopers, but they have an Imperial Japanese ARMY hat. The yellow star was the Army’s emblem, it should have the Navy’s anchor emblem instead.
Bruh, what, this is like finding out the funny German double letter military branch had their own paratroopers too, so Japanese navy had their own paratroopers? I didn't know.
@@bruhism173 The rivalry between the IJA and IJN was intense. They *HATED* each other. From what I understand, this is basically because they both had some sway over the government itself, so not only were they competing for military materials and budget, they were also competing for political power. The IJA and IJN had separate paratrooper programs, but also had separate air services which didn’t share planes (the IJA never got to touch a Zero, those were Navy aircraft) and also included airfields because the Navy had some land-based aircraft of their own which couldn’t take off from carriers, separate ground infantry which in the Navy’s case basically just means marines, and even *separate naval forces.* I’m not even shitting you, the Imperial Japanese Army had its own small fleet, granted it was mostly made up of transport ships and landing craft, but they were under the direct control of the Army, not the Navy. That’s how deep the rivalry went. The Army had its own fleet because they hated the Navy so much that they didn’t want the Navy to be ferrying their troops around the Pacific, and frankly the Navy didn’t want to be ferrying the Army’s troops around either, they’d rather be transporting their own marines if they’re carrying infantry. As a side note though, the German paratroopers technically weren’t part of the German army, the Heer. Paratroopers were part of the German Air Force, the Luftwaffe.
@@610Blackhawk Dang, imagine how much more effective they would have been if they cut their rivalry, part of your side note, I did know first part, but I was referring to S, , S paratroopers, I didn't know regular ones were under Luftwaffe control, were the S , , S ones?
@@bruhism173 Technically, the SS wasn’t even part of the German military. They were a distinct entity from the Wehrmacht. The Wehrmacht was the military of the German government, but the SS was the military of the Nazi Party. Which I get is kind of difficult to understand, since most people think that those two are basically the same thing. The best analogy I can come up with would be if the US still had its regular military, but then the Democratic or Republican party ALSO had a separate military that they controlled directly. Which is why they were especially awful, because they were made up of the most fanatical people in the country, or countries technically since they made extensive use of foreign units. It’s also why you’ll occasionally see them with some weird and especially captured foreign equipment, at least in the early war, because their procurement of arms was separate from the Wehrmacht.
Dude nice work with the song used on Black Cats for ‘Call of Duty : World at War’ for the opening Edit : I kind of want to see the Free French Forces in the Pacific or an airborne variant
And Hold on for a moment, The Paratrooper Army in Battle Of Palembang was _Teishi Shudan_ Teishi Shudan was IJAAF (Imperial Japanese Army Air Force) Paratrooper. Meanwhile _Rikusentai_ was Japanese Marine Paratrooper. Nevery Participate to Battle Of Palembang. Only Battle Of Manado when in Dutch East Indies
Just in case, someone who dont know, 2nd Parachute Chasseur Regiment is french paratrooper train by Bri ish in ww2, they deploy in Tunisia, we probably see Tunisia French paratrooper vs Italian paratrooper. For British Paratrooper, they will in Normandy or Tunisia
Even though they are wearing the Western front uniform I would really love the British paratroopers in Tunisia and it would make sense if they were because for some reason there is quite a few ally units in Tunisia that have the Brown uniforms instead of the desert uniforms
I'm French and us not being in the game in any significant way (I mean apart from a colonial troops squad in Tunisia the only French in the game are the SS from the Charlemagne division in the Battle of Berlin... Great...) make that hearing the French voice line for a paratrooper squad reaaaaly confusing for few seconds lmao Giving the soldier that was shown at the same time (British paratrooper uniform) they are supposed to come for Normandy but this is such a weird choice... Don't get me wrong I can't wait for us getting more representation in the fame appart from the traitors that join the SS but I'm also pretty found of historical accuracy and as far as I know the only French unit that landed on D-Day was the "n°4 Commando Kieffer" unit indeed attached to the British armed forces and the only ones actually jumping on Normandy were the Americans, where the British came with gliders (I'm saying that from the top of my head, haven't looked into ir for a while). Edit : watched the video to the end and ok my bad it wasn't only linked to the French voice line, my initial thought was maybe something to do with different localisations choices but the number of voice line would be greater. So maybe a French squad incoming, for either the next campaign or a current one. Which would be either Tunisia or Normandy and both woule be quite a odd place tbh. Can't wait to see more, the edit was as always on point, well done !
c'est peu être un teaser pour la Légion qui sait après pour où les rajoutés ça c'est un autre problème par contre c'est vrai que les Charlemagnes ont été ajouté je ne vois aucune trace d'eux sur le net ?
I am still hoping for a Battle of France campaign, or I guess just Battle of France maps and squads given the new progression system. There is only one game off the top of my head that actually portrays the Battle of France, that being Post Scriptum. Most games, and really most media in general, reduce France’s participation in WWII to, “Germany pointed a single rifle at them and the entire military surrendered out of fear, and then the Resistance popped up later and they sabotaged a bunch of stuff,” which is a shame in my opinion. France surrendered very quickly, but that was basically a fluke. Even Germany was expecting it to take much longer and be significantly more difficult. Everyone likes to go, “Well the Maginot Line was a stupid idea and didn’t work,” when in fact it did *exactly* what it was supposed to. The Maginot Line was specifically intended to force Germany to attack through Belgium. France just wasn’t expecting anyone to be able to get armored vehicles through the Ardennes, which led to a massive breakthrough because France was unprepared for tanks to come rushing in. And once the breakthrough happened, they weren’t able to stop it. Also the Free French Forces, who kept fighting throughout the entirety of the war, on both the western and eastern fronts, and who in fact recaptured Paris.
Wel they basically reused the Type 99 late rifle reload animation so its not a new animation. I am talking about the Type 99 rifle that you unlock at level 13 for the Japanese. Not the event Type 99 rifle
@@ballbender9thousand944 Yes they did i think you got the rifles mixed up. I am talking about the Type 99 rifle that you unlock at level 13 for the Japanese. Not the Type 99 rifle form the New Year's Breakthrough operation from last year
Bruh there is many Japanese Paratrooper Plane Transpot Like G5N-2-L Shinzan & G6M Transport Version Modification from G4M. Why they're adding C-47 Skytrain for Rikusentai💀
1: The L2D was a license-built version of the DC-3, what the C-47 was developed from, and was a real transport plane that the Japanese Navy had. Fom what I understand they had more L2Ds than any other pattern of transport plane, so it makes sense for them to have it simply because it would have been the most common plane available for paradrops. 2: They already had the model for the C-47, and it’s much easier to just modify an existing model than create a new one.
