I love how he steps out of the Helicopter like a badass and the way he looks at Mako, never taking his eyes off her. Also the fact that he makes sure she knows he understands her. 😍
I think that is knifehead. The tat that he was showing off. In fact that's why every one looks uncomfortable when he says "2500 tonnes of awesome"and then gets a horrible stink eye from Raleigh. Also, before the fight against knifehead they clearly said that it is the biggest category 3 ever and Newt describes that kaiju with the same description.
@@jnike5316 personally I believe its not knifehead because Raleigh said "who's that yamurashi" to which newt replied "oh this little kaiju yeah you got a good eye" meaning it was yamurashi
(2:30) *_"Ten years of experience! And I'm very tired!"_** ~* Even years later, that bit still cracks me up every time. *;D* Charlie Day (Dr. Newton 'Newt' Geiszler) and Burn Gorman (Professor Hermann Gottlieb) had great chemistry playing off each other. *:)*
2:50 LOL I like how after he said "2500 tons of awesome" everyone looked at each other in a very serious and unenthusiastic way, considering their personal tragic pasts with the kaiju. Newt even replies "or awful", plus when he mentions how wants to see a kaiju up close and personal one day, his wish became true in uprising, set 10 yrs later.
his wish becomes true before uprising tho! he gets up close and personal with a kaiju twice (when otachi licks him in the kaiju shelter, when baby otachi chases him down)
@@chansoe101 man, ain't that the truth, about both things you mentioned, in fact, I think it's better we give the movie the war in Ba Sing Se treatment
2:26 call me Newt 2:37-2:38 10 years of experience 2:43 oh this little kaiju 2:44 yeah you got a good eye 2:46 my brother and I took him down in 2017 3:03-3:05 shut up Herman I don’t love them OK, I studied them
I love how Gottlieb initially hates Newt, considering him to be nothing, but an idiot due to being a Kaiju fanboy (which I am too), but considering the lives lost in Kaiju attacks, a lot of people are understandably offended by Kaiju fanboys, viewing their enthusiasm no differently than someone wearing a Nazi Swastika or dressing like Hitler in public (which I could imagine Kaiju groupies were likely very Anti-Nazi, though, but still).
Either I haven't watched the news enough, or Something is wrong with the dates of this movie, cause it's 2017 and I don't see know Kaiju. Oh well...epic movie anyway
2500 pounds of awesome!!!! or awful whatever you want to call it- please excuse him, he's a *kaiju groupie* he loves them shut up Hermann, I don't love them, okay? I study them that is my favorite part lol
Why wouldn't it look like japanese? Mako is Japanese, it's her native language. I could get the confusion with chinese though, because they are in a chinese Shatterdome (near Hong Kong), but why wouldn't Mako use her native language when she wouldn't want Raleigh to understand, what she's saying to her adoptive father (before realizing that Raleigh is also fluent in japanese).
I know its a very late response 😅. But the track name is " Cancelling The Apocalypse". Search for it in Spotify. You can use SHAZAM app to find any music... Peace ✌️
yep it turns into part 03 at about 0:29 from about 2min from part 03 of ost. but the part just before it that hypes starting at 0:22 is the part that's unknown, I believe it's a movie edit unfortunately and wasn't involved in the official soundtrack :(
@@QuickLode It fits into the part 3 (Canceling the Apocalypse), but you have to search through that song in different parts, it's all there, though in different arrangement, different pitch and stuff. You can hear parts of the song in the begining, or in the end, or even somewhere in the middle. Also Pacific Rim's OST has a reappearing theme in various songs, parts of it plays in Canceling the Apocalypse, parts play in Gipsy Danger. Also Double event shares some parts with Striker Eureka and so on. Basically the part from 1:23 to 1:30 plays in most of PR's OST songs, it's even (in a variation) the main motif of No Pulse (playing when Gipsy's dragging that ship "gadget" around Hong Kong streets before facing Otachi).
Since almost all Jaegers were destroyed (except four), the UN cut funding for the Jaeger Program. So there is just no more money to maintain the shatterdomes.
The Hanssens with Striker Eureka moved to the Hong Kong Shatterdome straight from Sydney very recently, as we've seen them in the news, when Raleigh was still working on the wall. And Raleigh went to the Shatterdome from there. Also the russian couple seem to be just transferred to Hong Kong as well, basically the 4 last remaining Jaegers were brought together under one roof in a couple of days just before Raleigh arrived there. It looks like the Hong Kong Shatterdome was the one closest to the Breach, if all that remains is gathered there, why to manage the other (now empty) ones? So yea, they were shut down as no one needed them anymore.
im going to think in pacific rim 2 that they going to Build new gispy danger And i hopely that make gispy look badass and Perhaps that jaeger should use Chest rocket missles and maybe we get alots of new Jaegers and Kaiju attack
i wouldnt mind seeing kaijus category 5 6 7 and 8 and there a chance that they would kick the jaegers ass Like everyone want godzilla to be a kaiju 5 and clone version of gipsy danger
