Weirdly enough, I actually requested this! Thank you for starting the series! I can't afford horses or to make trips like these (Yet), but I am absolutely fascinated by the lifestyle. Thank you for such an informative video, and thank you for all of your advice!
Wise and down to earth. He has such good insight if you ask me. A solid balanced , honest, foundation as a person, provide a solid basic to build on in every aspect in your life 🌈🍀
Nothing wrong with your 1911. I carried one for a few years, but ultimately chose a 9mm for my needs. Good tools: buy once, cry once. Better to get something reliable for when you really need it, even if it costs more. Thanks for sharing your philosophy on things, Dewayne.
Good information Dewayne. I've carried a Colt 1911 Series 80 for over 25 years, Very interested in the cooking utensils you pack in. I've been on hunting trips where it seemed they brought the whole restaurant kitchen with them. When my brother and I hunted in the Coeur d'Alene area our utensils were minimal: a 6" cast iron fry pan, coffee pot, the grate from the top of a two burner Coleman stove, two pie tins, two coffee cups, two sets of knife/fork/spoons (the interlocking kind) and our Buck 110's. Course, we were only out for 3-4 days at a time.
Good load out video.. my jeans of choice nowadays are round house mainly because they’re sourced & made in the good old USA.. still have some wranglers I ride in but trying to support companies here at home
A .45acp 1911 is an awesome choice. And there is very little that a 45-70 can't take down. Might not be enough for T-Rex, but, they're kinda scarce LOL
I really appreciated this, and I look forward to more. I know its a lot of work, but imagine all the people on the other end of the screen you're making an impact on! Tremendous.
I’m glad to know that I’m not the only guy who buys lever guns unexpectedly. I’m going to have to have the location of the shop in Nebraska - you never know when I’ll need another lever gun. By the way - the Model 1886 I picked up in Sheridan shoots like a dream.
Looking forward to the next video. I know last year you were using a canvas cutter. If you roll them tight enough, you can run 2 of them NorthSouth on top of hard panniers, they work great.
Well I'm glad you got another 45/70 I knew about the Remington fiasco , I'm glad Ruger took the rings on that so that gun isn't lost looks like a dandy>>> Ruger introduced a 44 special flat top revolver I believe in 2009 discontinued now if you ever get a chance to obtain one I highly recommend it , mine is a shooter 240 Grain Hard cast cranked up a bit . This man John August Taffin , or Elmer Keith will tell ya everything you want to know about 44 special or 44 Magnum and about 6 guns in general. That's a free tidbit back at ya. Thanks for the Video sounds like an adventure .
Great video, always enjoy, when your discussing gear. I have a JM also & like 1911's too boot. Looking forward to rest of setup. Partagas Heritage Toro to enjoy this video.
Have a great time on your pack trip and thank you for a great video. Your point on Ruger is well made. I had a Ruger Mark II with a wood stock in 7MM Rem Mag that would shoot 160 Partitions at almost 3000 fps into 3/4 groups. I gave it to my step son since I have a Model 700 Classic that shoots almost way. If I might ask, is your 45 a Colt or a Kimber?
Hi Dewayne! Thanks for this video about you tack! Would you mind letting us know in the description where you purchased your tack from? Thanks! Appreciate you!
I love marlins, levers are one of the only guns we're allowed in England, I've shot .357 .44 and the government one time, hope to own one one day, the nice blacked out ones from marlin, or the blued steel one
Hello, one of your first subscrbers here, number 6, to be exact. Question: Is that a mule saddle or can you use horse saddle for Riba with right padding? Best wishes for your trip
The saddle is not built specifically for a mule, but it fits her well. There are dedicated mule saddles, but it’s often not necessary. I ride it on her with just the normal 1" wool pad I use for almost everything else. Thanks for being around all this time! It means a lot
Hi Dwayne.Thank you for your videos.I enjoy them . I looked for the Russian rive in Idaho in google earth .It doesnt show up in Idaho.I like to look at the places you utube guys talk about. Thanks . From western WVa
I love watching your videos, you are so knowledgeable, are you going to video tape your trip out there ? It would be nice, if not, i hope you have an awesome safe trip 💜💙
Hey mister, let's talk about that 45 holster, retention, spare mag, rifle ammo and carrying spare rifle ammo... just more content but definately Iam curious how you roll.
Sir I really do hope you know just how lucky you are to be living that life, here in the UK you cannot do anything or even carry a toothpick without being branded a criminal or a terrorist. Keep living free enjoy every moment.
