Dewayne has been living the horse life for over 30 years, both as a professional and as a private owner. As a husband of 30 years, the father of 7 grown children and "Grumpa" to 5 grandchildren, this aspect of his life and experience cannot be separated from the reality of who he is, and makes its way into the mix as well. As a Christian with a varied and unique history in the ministry, and a sometime law enforcement officer, he also brings these life experiences to the table.
It is not the purpose of this channel to present "the" way to do anything, but rather to use simple logic and experience to try to help others who might be looking for answers. It does not always offer direct answers to certain questions, but instead humbly seeks to show a road one might go down to find the answers they need for themselves.
I like your content and I get it when you say it’s not about you because I agree but not in the way that you do Salvation isn’t salvation unless it’s driven by God’s love for you and me I don’t think you really are operating under the whole council of God and I get it that you’re old school but if you just simply study a few topics in the Bible everything God does is FOR your benefit If you simply read Genesis 15 and Deuteronomy 28 you see that the faith is based on the promises God has for you and what He’s doing for you As a matter of fact the word for salvation in the Greek is sozo which is a very rich word that’s all encompassing It’s about your health and well being actually even before it’s about you going to Heaven so the focus is from whatever you’re facing or going through There’s also a concept from the Old Covenant called the divine exchange That simply means that you become ALL that the Lamb is and the Lamb becomes all that you are which when you understand the sacrifice from that context you understand why God requires it to be perfect The point is to restore us back to our perfect state before the fall but even more than that we are now joint heirs with Christ and kings presently seated at the right hand of the Father WITH Christ That’s a very big deal So when you say it’s not about you I get it but you’re not really understanding the relationship because from God’s perspective it IS all about you The point of saying it’s not all about you is to say that OUR focus is to be all about Him and not ourselves but that requires trust and faith which comes from abiding in Jesus so the relationship is the focus Jesus even said, if you being evil know how to give good gifts then how much more your Heavenly Father You know, it looks like you’re doing pretty well for yourself and I’m sure if anyone asked you how you were doing so well you’d say it’s all by the Grace of God so don’t become a hypocrite and discourage other people out of what God has for them especially knowing that the very foundation of our faith is based upon a promise that God made to you and me just as He did Abraham Right loving comes from right believing and if we live any other way than focused on the promises God has for us then we’ll fall into religious bondage and death God wants us to have abundant life and religion begins at the door of must do for God We need to keep our focus on Jesus love for us and what good husband doesn’t we’ll take care of his wife not a father his children and God is both a Bridegroom and we are the bride which speaks of passion btw and we are sons of God so don’t hate on guys like Joel Osteen I don’t listen to him but for those people that do he’s bringing in the harvest and while Christians may not like him God is using him greatly I can think of day worse preachers that would much rather condemn believers and do so with much passion than Joel Osteen Again, he’s a bit off putting but for all of his faults he’s reeling to build up the saints and not tear them down and we need a lot more of that

I came home from work one day and she was in our bed with her drug dealer. She was my best friend before any romantic relationship. At 62 a year ago I moved to my five acres. Sold out the city house. It cost me a marriage as my wife just couldn't live rural and I could no longer live urban. I'm in an RV building a cabin and yes I've been lonesome. But I had no other option.
great discussion. I think the secret to a long-lasting marriage is being friends first. I'm on my second marriage - now married over 20 years to my best friend. Friendship was what was missing from my first marriage.
Again, I don’t know how or why you are on my feed. I am glad to have listened to your talk. Your message is very wise and true. I wish young men like my teenage son would find your channel and listen to your message. I feel that there are too many oppotunistic males that pretend to be decent and kind hearted and prey on young males looking for a role model. As a mother, I cannot fathom a world in which older males are leading younger generations into this angry, hateful, prideful, arrogance, and won’t take responsibility for himself and the world he will inherit. It’s just sad. We need to do better to guide and teach our sons and men to continue to lead, to give back, to build and create, and to show more empathy and mercy for those less fortunate.
