Hi friends! It’s packing week for the January Emily Cromwell Designs boxes, and I’m bringing you guys along with me! Yay! More Emily time! As always, I love watching your videos, they make me feel so peaceful. I'm finishing up the sixth book in the Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. Also, working on my own book, little by little. Have you thought about writing a romance book? Oh, and I have a business question for you. If I wanted to start learning how to draw digital art and learn how to design products, what kind of technology and classes would I need? I like the idea of starting a small business, but all the legal, and technical parts of starting one intimidate me. Again, thanks for adding some joy into my week!

Oh gosh if I did write a romance book it would be awful haha I am not good at writing 🙈 I’ll definitely have to leave that to the pros! But I wish I was good at writing so I could! 🩷 Are you enjoying the mortal instruments series? I have that on my tbr! I’d recommend looking up drawing tutorials on RU-vid or mini courses on skillshare for learning about drawing digitally as a starting point! ☺️

I am so HAPPY you’re doing longer videos!! I have a WFH job where I am lucky that sometimes I can put on shows / audiobooks and I now look forward every week to my Thursdays where I get to see what you have been doing! I love that you mentioned the cozy mystery comment I made a few videos ago 😊 I adore them!! Susan Wittig Albert has an amazing series inspired by the life of Beatrix Potter…there’s so many… there’s historical ones, modern ones with various themes, like tea houses, antique shops and the like. They’re an enjoyable read when the world is hectic. Agatha Christie is of course the legend, but they’re lovely and I just think your style would make for a wonderful collection ❤

I really love the longer videos. I have a small business of my own, and I also have pretty severe lupus and RA. So my body doesn’t always want to do the things I need it to. So when I’m really aching and just down from it I love putting your studio vlogs on, the cozy vibes and the fact that you’re talking through your processes and life in general really help distract from my aches. So thank you for that 💕

Thank you for posting. My family is highly allergic to cat hair. If I were to take home a dress that was in a room with a cat they would be sick a week or two. Also, it must take you forever to put the labels on the coordinating boxes since each box is personalized. Thank you for the longer videos, looking forward to the next ! Cheers

Hi Emily, I am a big cozy mystery reader my favorite all time is Agatha Christie her style of writing is England in the 1920s and 30s. Basically a cozy mystery is a crime fiction in which sex and violence occur off stage. The detective is an amateur sleuth and the crime and detective takes place in a small, socially intimate town.

Have you read “Everyone in my family has killed someone”? I personally didn’t love the book but I remember people in my book club saying that it reminded them so much if Agatha Christie’s writing.

I use a US based box printer! Theres a couple great manufacturers to choose from depending on your budget!

Haha I like to try to go above and beyond and personalize everyone’s box in some way 🥰🩷 and I wrote the order number on the box so I know which label goes on it when I go to buy the shipping labels! And you’re actually in luck! I have another video that’ll be posted this Friday evening! ☺️ it’s ep. 1 of my wedding planning series so a bit different than my usual content but I tried to put some Emily Cromwell designs flare on it! 🩷
