my suggestion for anyone who wants to do this too (as a carry on! if you’re checking a backpack as your bag then this isn’t an issue) is to pack your liquids in a separate bag. the TSA, at least in the US, can be picky on liquids (depending on the airport). I would hate to see anyone go through all this packing and have the alarm go off and have a TSA worker have to search through every little bag to find the liquid that set off the alarm. all your hard work, wasted! but if you put all your liquids in a separate bag, it’ll be easier to take out and put in a separate bin when you put everything through the scanner. :)

This was so interesting to see someone else pack a very similar way to myself. Last year I went backpacking in Europe for 5 weeks and all I brought was a backpack carry on. I enjoyed not have to deal with all the baggage stuff, and being so minimal was suck a great experience! I definitely would recommend traveling minimally.😊😘 Fyi, yes we did stop to do laundry, twice.💕

I have a bunch of Gonex packing compression cubes. They have them on Amazon but sometimes they're cheaper on AliExpress. The medium ones are the most useful ones. The small ones are good but they don't have a double zipper which I don't like as much. They're like $5 apiece but you have to get them in sets of 3-6. I've used them on all my recent trips and they're SO HELPFUL. They keep everything separate and they have handles so you can carry a bunch in one hand or even hang them or whatever, plus they compress everything so you have more room

I love the fact that you brought lush, I am planning of bringing their soap shampoo so it is one less liquid item on my carry on. I like your target bag tip, I have found also if you buy underwear from Joe Fresh, the heavy plastic bag they come in are like ziplock so you can use them as underwear travel bags. Good video! I used to use those hiking backpacks too, until I discovered the suitcase style ones. Much easier to open up and pack/see everything inside.
