I did buy some travel size containers to put the products that didn’t come in small sizes in. Also, I highly recommend going through what you have at home first and mark it off your list before buying a lot of stuff, because the stuff they issue us is coming out of our paychecks anyway. Like if you have anything at home that you can squeeze in a travel size container (bath soap, lotion, face cream)go get you a cheap pack of travel size containers to feel up with what you need and label it. Of course, to each its own, but it’s just a suggestion. ❤️

Im about to start the whole process and setting up a appointment to see a AirForce recruiter i already did the online application, and i already get butterflies just thinking about everything but i just been watching helpful videos like these just to get myself more prepared and ready like i already been folding my clothes etc military way 🤣 but yea i highly appreciate videos like these thank you. Im looking to Go Active Duty then reserve but im debating on jobs , like medical or secruity maybe supply i just want something i can do and go to college at the same time or after my 4 year contract , Id like your opinion or anyone to suggest jobs i should try to go for. Hey. Good luck on your process. I’m glad I can be of help🙌🏾. Everything that I’m about to mention right now, idk to be facts, but it’s what I’ve been told by other Airmen or what I’ve researched. I recommend looking up jobs you’re interested in on RU-vid and just continue to watch videos. Some people will give an honest insight on their job and that was very helpful for me. Security Forces is not a good option when trying to maintain personal goals outside of the military. Something about 12-14 hour shifts all types of days and nights. I would stay away from it. With supply, I heard it has a pretty set schedule. I personally wouldn’t want that job, but I’ll be happy knowing I can come home and do school work and/or community service. That as well as Fleet Management and Analysis. It seems pretty flexible to life outside of the military. (based off other people RU-vid videos I watched) My job is Aerospace Medical, and although it was my number 2 pick, I’m just a little bit worried because depending on the base, I can either work a typical 0700-1600 shift, or a 1800-0700, and I’m a single mom and that wouldn’t work for me. So I’m hoping that I can get a typical shift closely related to a civilian shift. I highly suggest looking up the jobs you’re interested in and watching others videos(not the professional Air Force videos😂, because of course, they’re goal is to reel recruits in). @@kebreannalasha Ofc and thank you , And yea for sure ill look into more videos on jobs etc i even asked some friends who already went to basic and talked to them about it , and yea i heard about security forces its one of the easier lower jobs to get and just alot of standing around scanning at the front of bases and stuff but yea now that i know its not normal types shifts def kinda changed my looks on it and yea i watched some videos on supply they make it seem pretty good one of the easier normal type jobs and yea fleet management and Analysis ill look in to that now watch some videos on it. Areospace Medical sounds interesting , my friend signed his contract or whatever and it was a medical job i forgot what it was exactly but id honestly do something in medical easily i like stuff like that its interesting and yea thats the same thing im hoping for just a typical civilian shift and def dont want those night ones lol i feel you but you will be fine either way but yea im gonna look into the jobs and everything and yea fasho i know wym how they will say or show anything kinda to just recruit somebody. Wow. I've watched about 10 of these videos so far. I've seen some interesting things. But they sleep mask!! YES!!! Because I can not sleep when there are lights on. THANK YOU FOR THAT IDEA!
Yes. No problem at all. I’ve been to training and it was really convenient. However, those wipes of any kind and travel sized bottles were not allowed. 😖
@@payjejanelle012 It was none at all because they clog the toilets up and then all that sewer water will be backed up into the dorms. I wanted to ask why not just have us throw em in the trash, but they said no wipes at all to not even risk it.
Im 31... Married and have two sons and i feel weird about wanting to go to the air force.. I want to go reserve but sometimes i feel like i waited too late... I really want to go air force reserve though hubby is nervous about me going to war or somethin and might have to get vaccinated??? Idk😭
Hey. I’m not actually operational yet so I can’t tell you if it’s worth it. However, you’re most definitely not too old. If you’re unsure about doing it full time, the Reserves or Air Guard is the PERFECT opportunity to serve and get that military experience, while still maintaining your civilian life and job. From my understanding, I think vaccination is required for all service members now 😣. As far as war, I can’t really speak on that, but I’m sure those high tech trained warriors (of any branch) will be frontline if anything.
I definitely will talk about reserves but do you know like a site i can study for the ASVAB??? I need a book because looking at a screen for a long time with my glasses on can give me headaches and im done for the day😂😂😂
@@laqueshasmith9284 Most definitely. Trust me when I say, Grammarhero on RU-vid is very very VERY helpful. He’s free and his videos helped me boost my score a lot within three weeks. I don’t recommend watching all of his videos if you’re not struggling in all of those topics, but review the topics you need help with. For instance, I was very bad at calculating or deducting sales tax problems so I reviewed his videos specifically related to that. Although they are prerecorded lecturers, as he’s discussing a problem, he encourages us to pause the video and workout the problem a long with him. It was very helpful. I checked out the ASVAB for dummies book for free at the library, but Grammarhero on RU-vid contributed a little bit more. He has 100s of videos on every potential ASVAB problem.

Hey. Do you mean bag? And honestly, if you can deal with it for those 7 1/2 weeks, you really don’t need to pack much. Fr. I really want to do an updated video because all the stuff I packed and items that was on that list they provided is so unnecessary. I say this because the first night we got there, they gave us a black backpack with the essential item’s we NEED. Anything else we bring is really just stuff we WANT but not need and it was a waste of money plus unnecessary items to carry. Also, we have a certain way our drawer has to be set up and we can’t have all that stuff crammed in there or we’ll fail inspections. So they’ll either tell you to throw the extra stuff away or put it in the closet until you need it. Also the first night, I was in the older dorms on the third floor so I had to run up 2-3 flights of stairs with the bag I packed plus the other book bag they give you. By day 2 we had our PT gear and socks and stuff. Plus they give us a card with money from our first paycheck on it, and if you need something they’ll let you go to the BX(store) to get it. Items I recommend: Please Read✅😮💨 •1 week of underwear/sports bras/compression shorts(for under PT shorts). Try to get white, black, grey, and navy blue, underwear can be any color just no sexy brand. Laundry will be done like every 2 days. •1 extra set of civilian clothes(plus the clothes you wear there makes 2 sets) •2 pairs of clothes to sleep in. •Running shoes. (They’ll provide you with some, but wear your own up there) •Deodorant brand that works best for you. (The one they give doesn’t work for everyone) •Hair products that work best for your texture, including gel(not too big) to hold it in place, bobby pins and pony tail holders for buns or rubber bands if you do jail braids, comb/brush and a scarf specifically. (Bring your own shampoo and conditioner unless you’re comfortable using that 2 in 1 stuff.(not too big) •Feminine items. (Tampons too. I personally like wearing them if I know I’m finna be moving around a lot) •I packed face stuff and I was able to use it, however, we literally have like 2-4 minutes each to shower/get dressed included. 😭. You won’t have time to do a whole face care routine, so if you can get a nice cleanser that doesn’t take that long, bring that and use your lotion as your moisturizer. •Your important paperwork and identification. •Bring a small notebook with important phone numbers addresses. •If you plan to do letters, look up this thing called “Sandbox”. It’s very helpful and make things quicker and easier. If you do pack extra stuff, they’ll do a bag dump with yall on day 2 and let you know what you can or can not have. Also it depends on your MTI as well. I was not able to have those travel sized bottles with my extra stuff in it. It doesn’t have a manufacturing label so they can’t tell what’s really in it. No wipes of any kind. Other than that, I was able to keep the other stuff, but it didn’t fit in my drawer nice and neat. They provided us with literally everything. Soap, dental products, socks, sunscreen, laundry items. If you need anything, they’ll make sure you’re straight.
Lol. I know😩. After talking to a few people about what exactly will be Issued, I might wind up taking a lot of stuff back or just saving if for Tech School.
Ok. Thank you. I’ll ask around again. In the BMT Facebook group, a lot of Airmen who have recently completed training recommended it and said they were allowed to keep it. I’ll most definitely come back when an update.
