You're just so genuine Lael. After unpacking what you probably had just packed.....I hope you had a good laugh and a shake of the head. Always enjoy your content.....keep pedaling and keep smiling like you always do. Cheers!
Always great to see what Lael is running! The efficiency of packing is really fascinating and even more casual bike tourers could learn a thing or two.
Go Lael! You rock. Your enthusiasm is so infectious. Would love to know how the bike feels and handles fully loaded on gnarly single track. Good luck out there and be safe!
Wow! Fantastic to see your setup and to hear some stories from the Tour Divide. Best of luck in the race -- I would love to hike that trail some time. It's definitely way too tough for me to ride, lol!
Hey Lael I have been running the same pedals on my Kona Rove for two years now. I really like the option of having a flat side with studs when it more advantageous to use. I just got back from my first GDMBR and UtePass Steve says hi, I camped at his place one night. Good luck with the race, I've always loved your sense of fun about bike packing and riding bikes in general.
Awesome breakdown. Wishing you the best! I definitely don't like to ride after dark in summer without clear glasses. Bugs will kamikaze my lights and inevitably hit my face instead!
Best of luck, Lael! Glad you got the asthma under control, I too race with asthma and live in the high country of Colorado. It's almost something I don't think about now with the steroid inhaler daily and a bit of Albuteral on high intensity days. I know there is a great story behind each and every one of those little, odd bits you pack along with you 🙂 Might want to get a fresh tube to replace the old beat up one, but here's hoping you won't need it.
Awesome set up for breaking records.. As of now on Thursday AM you are sitting great.. I don't recall seeing anything to purify water.. The rivers were running fast so not that you would need it perse. But, always nice.. 6th OA and still lead female as I watch this
@@blancobasnett V.V.A. Victor Vincente of America he won RAAM, changed is name to as such… turned around and pedaled back to Cali. ~ legend ! Oh also multiple US National road champ and Olympian. He would hold the “Resida to the Sea” event… starting everyone, noting the timing… hop on his hand made “Topanga” pass everyone and score the results. Rad
Has Lael heard of exercise induced asthma and how nose inhalation helps enormously? James Nestor's Breathe book is tremendously enlightening on this topic, as is the literature on the lesser known dystonic respiratory crisis.
