Can we PLEEEAAASSSEEE for like 1 every 2 months a video of Renee roasting your choices ... It makes for an EMMY worthy episode. Also, every time you talk about Dorian, I think of Dorian Grey.
The constant board gamer’s struggle of packing more games than you’ll ever actually play and yet feeling like you’re missing a game you should be bringing 😂 Enjoy the summer!
Every one should have a shelf of games that equate to fine china, games that only come off of the shelf for truly special guests like you might pull them off the shelf if the queen comes for a visit.
Oh man, you packed waaaay more games than I thought possible into the second bag!! I woulda prioritized Heat over some of the heavier games, but you have a great variety of games for every occasion. I look forward to the recap video at the end of the summer!
Dune Imperium is so much fun and one of my favorites. I got to play the 6-player team mode of Dune Uprising a few weeks ago, and it was epic!!! Also, playing as a Commander really changed up my decision making as a lot of my choices focused on boosting my teammates. The Maud'dib team leaned into combat and won most of the conflicts, but the Emperor team got a lot of influence and won a couple key conflicts along with getting plenty of intrigue cards and solari and was able to squeak out a come-from-behind one point win even though a Maud'dib player got to 10 points first.
Bring on a Rococo review!!! I've commented before how interested I am in it and still have not had the extra to pick it up. Hard to justify a game with a $100+ buy in and maybe a review from you would help me really decided if I should continue to pine after it or move on. So glad that you love Dutch Blitz as well! My family love it and it never gets any coverage from reviewers. I was completely unaware of the purple expansion and just added it to my wishlist. Really hope you can get through a good portion of these games! Safe travels!
Anytime I've packed games for a trip or convention, I never end up rly playing much of them. That's probably because I have a kid so my time is very split. On my recent cruise I realistically only played Railroad Ink and Arkham Horror, when I packed probably 6 more games on top of it. Did I need to pack those extra games? No. I've never historically played more than one or two I bring on a trip. Will I continue to pack my entire shelf as if I will? yeah probably 😂 Am amazed how you can play this many while away plus how you manage to convince people to play with you outside of your partner baffles me. Most people CBF or aren't willing to try. Oh btw Chris... I've backed your Neighbors game and will be joining your group but! Thanks for putting it together. 😅
Coup is my favorite board game to play with non-gamers; quick to learn, quick rounds, only kind of subject to luck since you can bluff anything you want, and in the same vein it isn't a game that can be "solved" so it is really balanced between new and experienced players (albeit there are sometimes "best moves" like always claiming contessa or calling BS if your last card is about to be assassinated). Probably the only negative is that you really need 4+ people for it to be really fun; 2 is horrible and 3 almost always ends up with "king maker" moments.
I totally get the struggle for packing games. I took a dozen games to my college reunion and ended up playing 2. My friends really enjoyed Deadly Dowagers and Ra.
Great video Chris :) Reflection of me every 2 weekends when I go to my hometown visit family and friends :3 That second bag was a board game bag? Seems a bit bigger than usual. What brand is it? Cheers
It's from a company called Crafting Kingdoms. Honestly I've stuffed both bags too full that the straps have broken on both, but to be fair to Crafting Kingdoms that one was just a prototype bag of theirs that I kept and not the real thing
I couldn't survive a summer without Cascadia, Sagrada, and Marvel Champions now. I could purge a fair number of heroes and villains in MC to save some space.
This is great! We are leaving for 2 weeks next week and I’ve been wondering what to bring. I need small box games and I have my list. I’m so curious to see what you end up choosing since I’m at the beginning of the video right now and see what lines up with what I chose.
The two games I’ll be adding to my suitcase are 20 strong and reviving Kathmandu. Totally forgot how big those games are in such small packages. I’ll also be getting a copy of Dutch blitz because I keep forgetting how much you love it and we will have the free time to learn how to play
I bought Dutch blitz using targets buy one get one half off sale and we played it last night. My wife loves this game so much and she celebrated this pick. We had fun with 4 people. Is the extra 4 packs worth it in the expansion to play with more than 4 people? They were reluctant to add anyone else but I think it would be chaotic and exciting with more than 4.
Two thumbs up for Grand Austria Hotel, Cascadia, Rococo, and Avalon. Rear Window, Distilled, and Ra are also solid choices. If you don't include the The in The Red Cathedral, I will beat you silly. Swap out The Hunger for Heat. Others from your collection worth considering: Beast, Codenames, Revive, and I'm sure you can find room for Scythe.
I’m also packing for a trip and want to bring a game or two but the whole purpose of the trip is not games or fun so it’s don’t want to pack anything *too* big. IDK. Maybe Coup and Telestrations or something? Sushi Go Party?
He Chris, Love the bantering between you and Renee. I love the fun you both seem to have. She sounds like a Canadian RU-vidr called GeminiTay (not her RU-vid-voice though). Are they somehow related? Well, hope to hear more of Renee comment you realtime in the future, and good luck on the job!
This list is absolutely wild. I'd bring a few big boxes (ie TTR size), but Im very much about best bang for your buck. Rising Sun and Rococo deluxe are absolutely wild takes to travel with. Is your trunk dedicated to all the board games? Im only halfway through the vid too!
Hello! We have sent you an email asking about a review. Could you check your spam folder and let us know if you're interested? We hope you didn't forget about any important games! :D
@@RoomandBoardReviews Ah sorry! I was sure I'm posting from the publisher account! It's Two Acorns Games and the game is a dungeon crawler roll and write.
