Its 2022 and I just came across this video by accident. I’m preparing for our first PCS ever and its overseas 🤦🏽♀️ I’m totally overwhelmed and your video helped me make sense of everything going on. Thank you so much!!
Hey girl! Thanks for watching and I’m so glad it helped! It’s normal to be overwhelmed but it’ll be all worth it when you get to where you’re going! Luckily your next stop is Germany!! 🥰
Can Opener, paper plates, cups, and plasticware. You will be exhausted by the time you get to your new home and will be ordering pizza or other to-go items for a few days. Military, too:-)
Well done you! I'm packing to move and it's daunting... I've been throwing things out/giving things to goodwill for about 4 weeks now. I think I can start packing today.
I am on hubby's tablet, my name is Brigitte, just wanted to say, thank you for your service and please let your hubby know I thank him for his service too and this is coming from Canada 🇨🇦 😁💖
Great video with lots of tips!!!! I dont want to ever become a pro at moving lol. I like traveling but not moving. I cant wait to see you unpack and decorate the new home. It's a plus to be able to spend time with your family before moving. Also it was so nice seeing your curls in this video. Best wishes to you and the family. Safe travels!!
We are gearing up for another move and I love gathering ideas from others. Most of this I've done in the past but the refresher is helpful. Especially this move in bin. Thanks
this is the perfect video for me. completing my first pcs move to fort campbell in just 2 WEEKS. im excited but also confused because i just don't know where to start lol
This video was so helpful! I’ll be experiencing my first military move soon. When it came to your wall decor (art, family photos, etc) and glassware/dishes are those things that you’d recommend packing yourself or do the movers pack them with care pretty well so they don’t get damaged in transit?
Hey! How exciting!!! It’s all up to you what you decide to do really. Moving companies prefer to pack everything themselves though. The only things we do not let them pack are things we bring with us (important papers, documents, and other personal items). Everything else they pack.
You are a pro...what movers did use that packs and moves for you...totally need this. My hubby is a truck driver, I work fulltime at home and 4 kids Homeschooling and we close on house October 2...lol.. we are not even close to he ready or packed
Tameka Fulton hey! Thank you so much! Your going to have to contact some companies in your area. Usually moving companies pack everything and some even unpack everything once you get to the new house. Since we are military we get that option every time although all moving companies are just normal moving companies.
@@CandisH Thanks so much Candis, I never knew you could hire movers to unpack for you, that's amazing . Thanks for sharing I found someone in my area that does the same. Take care & I look forward to more content from you.😁
Loved your video! Will watch more because I will be moving in a couple of weeks. I love moving to be honest haha. You mentioned you put dryer sheets in the vacuum bag. Can you tell me what's the benefit? Just purchased a couple of vacuum bags myself so can use the tip!
My name is Valerie I am Joe's wife I am a foster mom we are moving the end of the month. I wanna start working on the kids bedroom what do you recommend? I'm thinking of taking down the bunk g bed but they love it. What did you take out first the bottom or top mattress safety bar or ladder? Should I put the mattresses on the floor?
My husband got selected to be a recruiter. We're hoping that the military will move us. How have your experiences been with the military moving your things? I've heard horror stories and I hope they're not that common. Thanks!
Sara Shusta well the military uses outside moving companies. I’m not 100% sure if there is a such thing as “military movers”. No matter what company..there can always be bad things to happen. We have definitely had a bad experience but also good ones with moving 😊. Congrats to you and your hubby on the new job! Well wishes for you both! 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Dumb question, but do they pack your clothes for you? I of course have the clothes I want to move myself, but I’ve already been packing my clothes in boxes since I’m particular about my clothes. Will they accept the clothing boxes I have or will they want to transfer all of them into their own boxes? This will be my first move and I don’t really have any big hhg I’m worried about. It’s more my clothes.
I can’t be sure for all moving companies but they usually will take what you have out of the box and repack it in their boxes. If I were you I would double check with the company because you could be doing all this prepacking for no reason.
Side note: dish pods are so bad! They’re just expensive marketing garbage that doesn’t work as well as the OG powder. Powder is the cheapest and works the best!
