I know you are far on the sea now, and you are also very experienced with packing, but I love the bags you can just rolled and press the air out and boom you get more space. There are also packing cubes that many backpackers use. I don’t work on a skip, nor do I backpack, but I am in and out of the hospital, and because of my struggles after a total hip replacement I need a lot of pillows and blankets for building me up when sleeping. Sometimes I get in and the unit are out of pillows or I get a nurse that don’t understand, and I hate being high demanding, I feel really embarrassed about my pillow situation, so I just bring a bag with me, with what is working at home. These bags where I can just press the air out has been a lifesaver. Bought mine at ikea, but they are discounted there. It is also great with all my outerwear, and work out clothes. I love my walks/hikes, so on less I am attached to an IV I will have my walks also at the hospital 😅 Where I am you get all the beddings, and towels, but not even a PJs so I have to bring it all. When you have had over 50 hospital stays over the last 6 ish years, you get a rhythm, also in packing. I even bring my own instant caramel or cinder toffee coffee from the British brand Beanie’s. Cheap and saves the day, and I can recommend it for saving money on the ship too. I know you Lucy loves your coffee 🥰 Just a topic I have not seen you have had up, is there any religious on board, and do they have a “club” where say like Catholics meet up together? I know like many from Philippines are catholic, so I just took a random faith here. I have seen some videos from college students that take a “Semester at Sea”, and they have these clubs. Probably is not called clubs for workers at a cruise ship, but you get the deal. I saw in the quarantine vlogs with the food that you can ask for no pork, so I guess the accommodated some food for different religions? At least mark them “without pork” or something? Just find it interesting how people of faith do things when they work so long contracts. Thank you for sharing, love from Johanne, Norway 🇳🇴
I thought this would help me with packing but now I know I need to pack a few more dressy outfits. Don't want to be the only one not dressed up for (hopefully) going out in ports
I will probably never work on a cruise ship, (I would never pass the medical!) I just find you and your content so enjoyable! I have watched every video for over a year and try to comment on each one to help the algorithm. I want more people to know about you!
I always thought I wouldn't pass the medical due to injuries and medication I'm on from a car accident I was in...well I'm due to start my first contract next week. Find a doctor that won't charge you unless able to certify you and try!
Hi Lucy! ❤️ 1- Is it true that airlines will be more flexible on suitcase weight if it goes over the weight limit? 2- IF the airline charges you extra for going over the weight limit on luggage, does the cruise line usually reimburse you?
Yes Steampod if it is soemthing for the hair but if you are planning to bring iron or steam for clothes do not do that they will confiscate and return at the end of your contract.
Hey Lucy! Thank you for all your vids it helped me a lot. I have a question it might sound dumb lol I was wondering what about the handbags you don't take any with you?
