Hey sailors,
The time has finally come! After a long wait, I have been given my joining date for Virgin Voyages and I couldn't be more excited. In today's part 1 I am showing you how I select which items of clothing to take with me and I'm going to show you how I organize everything to ensure I don't miss anything.

I am reminded a bit of preparing for my deployments in the Army, but it was simpler, since I was very limited in regards to civilian clothes.

Having working close to 200 cruises with 10years worth of sea days since the average cruise is over 16 days I have come to a formula that works best. The most important item to consider is undershirts as if you wear them under your shirts will generally keep the regular shirt clean. I prefer wearing open neck collar shirts not button down ones. Cargo pants that have a hidden zipper can be used as both long and short. I have gotten away wearing them on formal nites. Having shoes that have no laces is also recommended. I have worked most of the major lines Cunard having strictest dress code. Man needs jacket after 6 00 pm. The more casual you can get away with the better but each line will have strict dress codes especially formal nites.

Hello! I wondered how competitive is activity host roles? My dream is a royal Caribbean activity host and i wondered if 3 years of a high school job as a party host at a adventure park is enough experience?

You get a contract Lucy? Congrats. Still waiting on mine. It's going to be different going back with these new rules. I'm not expecting shore leave or crew bar. I suggest making videos to keep you busy and your spirits up.
