You made me cry. Thank you for all of the ideas and sharing your teacher wins and woes. Tomorrow is my last day as a teacher, going to be tutoring and doing piano and guitar lessons from home. Not finding the peace just yet but you’ve given me hope it’ll come. I’ll be sticking around as you transition to mommy vlogs!
Omg Emma I started crying when you showed the flashback of setting up your first classroom. So proud of you and I’m excited to see your new season of life ❤️
I know how it's difficult. I am from Ukraine and the educational system here is somehow different - after the primary school children go to the secondary and high school later - it takes 7 years and 7 classes. So a class teacher takes children in the 5th grade and till the graduation in the 11th grade. I was a very young teacher - only 22 and the principal gave me the 5th grade - and now I am almost 29 and last week there was a graduation party for my "little bugs", who are 17-18. Yesterday I came to our class and had soooo many feelings - all those happy moments, school parties, theme lessons, all that classroom decor and my table - the last fresh flowers from my bugs. They are almost adult - a new chapter starts in my life and in their too.
I was here from the very beginning. It’s bittersweet seeing you leave teaching but it’s a blessing that you can stay at home with your daughter. You’re a fantastic teacher and I pray one day you’ll come back to the classroom. I’ll be here for every future vlog.
I have been here since your first year. As a retired teacher, this brought back many memories of packing my classroom. Of course I left a lot of mine for the new teacher since I was retiring after 36 years! Happy for you to get to stay home with Jordan.
This is so funny. We had the same borders and vinyl back drop! I'm switching from a special ed teacher to a 4th grade position in another state. Definitely bittersweet when you leave! I appreciate you sharing this! I wish you all the best with your new chapter! I don't regret staying at home the first couple years with my son!
Going along on this journey with you has been a privilege. Thank you ❤ You were one of the first teachers I found on youtube and watching you set up from the beginning and grow has truly been incredible. So happy for you and your new chapter and excited to continue to follow along! 😊
I just finished my first year in 1st grade! I remember following your journey since the beginning. I was a Junior in College longing for the day a I’d be able to student teach and then had my own classroom. Thank you for all that you do!
I remember when I got hired to be a first grade teacher mid 2021. I was so scared. I typed first grade teacher on RU-vid and your channel was the first to pop up. That first set up video gave me so much hope, joy, and motivation!! Congrats on you new journey 🎉 I am not going anywhere ❤
As I was watching this, I could feel all the feels. I did the same thing. I was promoted to “stay at home” mom when our first child was born. I ended up returning back to the classroom ten years later. You will not regret it! However, the emotions of leaving a career I loved and worked so hard for was bittersweet. Be ready for some big emotions this fall. They are totally normal! Have a project or special plans ready to distract yourself and help you to remember your “why”. I am so proud of you. It’s a big step. . .and so, so worth it! ~ from a mom with a 18 and 20 year old. ❤️
I have been here since the very first classroom setup video, when you had your baby girl and were trying to get your plans done, and when you decided to stop teaching and spend time with your little girl! Emma your the best teacher, mom, and wife! Love all your videos!
I started watching you with your student teaching tip vlogs! Now, I've graduated from program and am getting ready for my own first classroom 😱 It has been so wonderful following you on your teacher and motherhood journey over the years and I'm so happy to be able to see your new adventures as a stay-at-home mom! Congrats Emma!
I’ve been watching your videos since your first classroom setup video! This video definitely made my eyes all leaky! Best wishes for the next chapter in your life. Thank you for all your teaching ideas that have influenced my teaching career. 😊
Feeling all the feelings with you Emma! I packed up my classroom this year after 3 years to also be a SAHM. I taught 2nd grade. So looking forward to watching you in your new chapter!
Wow, Followed you since the beginning, from set up to tear down. Two "S' words come to mind; Your SPIRIT and your SMILE. wishing you the very best in the next chapter of your journey. Have just the best Summer, 2023. Thoughts and prayers from here. P.E.I Chris
Its so sad to see you taking down all of your stuff, but so glad you are able to stay home with your sweet little girl. You certainly wont regret it! ❤ Also, as you were taking everything down I saw your phonics/reading cards on your bulletin board. Where did you get those?
