What grade do you think I'll end up in next? 🥰 p.s. Did you hear the door handle shaking?! Tell me if you've ever experienced anything when you were alone at school 😬
I dislike the building noises when alone at school! If I go in during the weekend- I always walk past our large library (lights off) very quickly looking at the ground 😂😅😂
Whatever teacher moves into that classroom is very lucky! You worked so hard at getting rid of so much stuff that the previous teacher left and organizing things!! I remember what the classroom looked like when you started the year- you worked your 🤬 off! Be proud! 🐝🌻
I really did! I still feel bad about leaving so much that wasn't even mine but my school admin was also very pro "keep everything" so the next teacher can try to toss if they'd like!
During the videos when she was cleaning out that classroom i was thinking that's not the right school for her. No school that leaves a mess like that for the new teacher to deal with is a good environment.
@@traciwhiting2545 - that is true Traci! I think that this past school year was an exception though because of COVID and a lot of older teachers retired unexpectedly and weren’t able to clean out their classrooms. I know at my school site, we had very strict times we could be in our classrooms and weren’t given any extra time to be there, even if we asked, and we couldn’t have anyone else on campus at all, so if we needed help, we were out of luck. 😔
@@terrificintk The teacher before me was moving and decided to leave what you saw; she did say "Feel free to donate or trash whatever" and she didn't mind! The aide was more attached to the items in the room, I think.
It was so bittersweet when I packed up my classroom. It was my first and I was there for 6 years so it took forever because I kept stopping and reminiscing 💖
Just watched yr latest video about how hard yr year was at this school. I am so happy for u that everything is better for u. I can tell u are an awesome teacher. I'm glad u found a school that sees that and appreciates it!!
If you ever have to pack up a room again. I found packing saran wrap to be the best! It comes with a handle and you just wrap it around everything. I had to pack up my room 2 years ago and it really helped. Now I'm getting ready to sell most of it because I will be retiring either later this summer or next year and then moving out of state. You did a great job and I understand all the stuff, I have over 1,000 books I believe and my teaching stuff takes up most of my one car garage. Good luck!
What all did you saran wrap? I can see it being helpful for things that I taped but not sure because it seems like a tonnnn of plastic? Thank you for the kind words! Wish I could look through your teacher stash!
Best of luck with the job search! Mayleen, you are so committed to serving people well even when it seems like that’s not reciprocated. Praying all the best will come to you for the next school year. Also, I just love seeing the comparison of where you started and how you ended so thanks for including that clip. :)
I had to pack up my classroom in May and I will begin putting together my classroom in my new school sometime this week so I can get it done and relax for a couple of weeks before school begins August 4th. I will be with a new team so I'm a bit nervous/excited. love your videos :)
Totally there loss you are one amazing teacher and my daughter would be so lucky to have a teacher like you and your new school will get to experience all you awesomeness!! Good luck on your new adventure
@@MrsCallsCampers from a teacher going into my 6th year I can totally relate. I haven’t ever left my district but I’ve been moved twice and I can imagine how hard it is. I have a feeling you’ll find a great school soon!
