Put your needs first, you need to be close to your family for support as a single mom, Valerie will grow up to understand mommy needed to make some tough decisions for her sanity. Alisha your spirit has always screamed committed to me. So I know when you said your vows you truly meant til death do us part. For whatever reasons, life took an unexpected turn but I must say your faith in God truly helps you outshine these dark days. To navigate this journey and continue on this platform, the two of you created is phenomenal. I agree that you should take time for yourself. I have never been married but went through a bad breakup and the best thing I did was become “spiritually single”. Meaning I wasn’t physically alone but I took a lot of time allowing God to lead me without the excessive advise from others on how to move on. And no you would not be taking Valerie away from her dad if you moved back to Houston...he made the decision to walk away from her life with you. He could have been in her life full time, with overtime. You need to think about your well being as well as hers and family support is very important. But ultimately the decision is yours to make. As a Psychiatric nurse Practitioner, i recommend therapy after you settle into the new place..obviously if it will fit into your schedule and if you want to. This is alot for one person. God got you but you gotta take care of your health overall (mental, physical and spiritual)...be safe and take it easy girl. We will be here cheering you on every step of the way 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

Hey Alisha! You are just so amazing. I often look back on the seasons in my own life and with some being the most bittersweet, I find an even deeper sense of just how precious and great our Lord is! I am a domestic violence and rape survivor and I have people wonder how in the world I ended up still joyfully smiling to the high Heaven after nearly being killed two years ago. But let me tell you, God is SO SO SO SO SO AWESOME! He cares for our precious and beautiful souls, loves us beyond measures, and He has us in great hands! I’m catching up and I wanna just say- God really had His hands on you and Val, Miss Alisha!! He knew this was gonna happen in your life toads another stripe to your testimony.. So he made sure you were closer to your family so you and babygirl won’t be alone- He made sure you had a solid mindset in your motherhood to keep going for babygirl. He made sure you had your career (both of them, boop 👏🏽) on track.. and even though you may or may not be ready- He just added this as a lesson to know EXACTLY what to look for in a man the next go around.. So you’ll be loved like never before and actually cherished as the wife you are!
