The Pacsafe 325 is one of my all-time favorite travel bags. For me, it is the perfect day bag when exploring a new destination.

Great bag - I’ve had it for 2.5 years. The same pull broke on my bag recently - I emailed a photo to PacSafe and they immediately sent a new bag. Great customer service!

Just got my Pacsafe Vibe 325! It has a great VIBE to it (LOL - Pun Intended) Thanks for running us through all of the features of the sling bag and how one uses the different features. Super helpful. I saw a dude in Bend Oregon wearing one around while he was shopping with his girlfriend. I stalked him for a while and then asked him what bag it was and what model. He told me about PacSafe and was surprisingly helpful. I immediately went outside the shop and searched Amazon for the bag. I could not find the size and the model that he was using. As luck would have it he walked out of the store and down towards my direction. He discovered me looking on my smartphone for the bag and I asked him which model it was. He actually helped me flip through my phone browser to find the right one. Super nice and helpful couple! The gal even yelled " You will love it". So far she is RIGHT!

I really appreciated how you immediately showed how easy it is to swing the sling over to the front. For me that is the dealbreaker. I purchased a Travelon sling and the swing to the front was horrible, and I also realized what a significance that having 2 zippers can make

This is exactly the kind of review I was looking for! I was looking for something smaller than my work bag to take to an upcoming edutech conference that was anti-theft and could hold more than just a phone and glasses and that I could use for future trips. This was one of three bags I had narrowed down to purchasing. You just made my decision easy. Thanks for a great review!

Thanks for the review. I loved that you made your review after actually using the bag. I have the Vibe 150 myself but was looking for another bag that could fit my iPad Mini better and allow me to add more things. I plan on getting this one next.

Great to hear it has been through some heavy travel. Mine has only seen urban life thus far. I lock mine to the railing of my box at horse races. I use a lock on both lock-in spots, the zippers and strap if I have to use the bathroom. I know it won’t walk off with someone else. I load it up with handicapping materials and snacks for the day. Museums don’t mind this bag because you can swing it forward. Load it up for a day of sketching. I have two pairs of glasses. (Blind as a bat..sort of). It’s easy to get to my glasses with this bag. They don’t get lost in the black hole of a backpack or take up all the room of a cross body. This bag is bigger than a cross body, more comfortable than a messenger and less cumbersome than a backpack. The security is a plus.

Nice review. Thanks. Anyway, between this bag and Metrosafe X Anti-Theft Sling Pack, if you are given the choice to buy one today, which would you pick. I noticed that both are 10 liter, and both are considered / marketed as sling bag.

Great review! It’s much better to review something after it has been used for a while. I read that you had contacted Pacsafe to replace the zipper pull. How did that go, and how is the bag holding up after a few more years of use? Thanks!

Love your thorough review of this bag. Thought of buying it but your experience on the zipper, the fraying of the stitching... makes me think twice. I mean... with regards to the zipper, it is the only thing that makes it lockable. If it is easy to break, like when someone tries to yank it, i dont see how one can have peace of mind leaving the bag. Example i travel alone, and at times like at the beach or when sitting in a restaurant, i wld eventually leave my bag for awhile, to either go swimming or order food. Really hope pacsafe can install a thicker or tougher zipper pulls. Again this is an awesome review and thanx!

D.I.J thanks for the comment! So glad to hear this video was helpful for you. The zipper was the biggest bummer because as you said it negates the locking feature. However I do have to say that it is more theft deterrent rather than theft proof. On another side note, I have contacted Pacsafe about the wear and tear on the bag and they are sending me out a new one. So kudos to their customer service!

Just bought this. Your review was the best of all I found. Was looking at peak design at camera bag as well as a sling for in front with travel backpack...clothes would be in backpack. Important stuff in the sling. I really like how you explained the features and your personal examples of use. FINALLY decided on this for camera and all valuables. Thanks for a great review!

I have the original bag with the wire zippers and plastic buckle. I have no issues with it. I don't abuse it. I use it for day traveling. A great investment.

T Yik so I can fit my a7 with 24-70 gmaster lens on it. I have that on multiple occasions. It isn’t meant for it but, it can do it. The padding is decent. I wouldn’t toss it around with the camera in it though. Hope that helps.

Hey great "real-world use" review! Maybe you can help me out with something. I have carried a cross-body bag for many years, looong before the "man bag" became a thing. Decades ago I settled on "vertical messenger bag" style as the most practical and comfortable. Because it hangs on my side it is cooler to wear and easier to access. It's easier to deal with in a vehicle with a seatbelt. My hand naturally falls across it so it just feels more secure, and less likely to knock into something. I can even convert it into a backpack.Can you say why you prefer the sling style? Have you tried a messenger style? I understand where the sling came from, an evolution of the fanny pack. It just looks awkward to wear to me.

Thank you for the thoughtful comment. I am glad to hear you liked the video/review. I started out carrying a messenger style bag. I liked it for many of the same reasons that you have mentioned. They are convenient to access and usually comfortable the carry. However, that more I started to carry a messenger bag while biking the more I got frustrated with not being able to find a way to carry the bag in a way that didn't get int the way while biking. Eventually, I purchased the Chrome messenger bag which I soon learned was basically an oversized sling-style bag. I loved how snug it fits on my back and it never got in the way of pedaling. I soon grew tired of how large the bag was for daily use though and starting looking for something a bit smaller. That's when I found this Pacsafe bag. For most instances, I encounter this sling-style is just right for me. Yes, it can get a little warm on your back. But, if it does I can swing it around and carry it upfront. I think that in general, it is a personal preference as to which is best. I do find it interesting though that you started with a sling bag and moved to a messenger where-as I started with a messenger bag and moved to a sling.

hello:) I got this bag, I like it, but i found it has some cons... The strap feels too short, I like to have it bit loose lower down like the xiaomi mi city sling bag... have you found another one similar to this one but better? also it feels fat when it gets filled up with a notebook, and i miss a bit more pockets and spaces inside, also I miss an internal pocket on the back...

had the same thing happen on my vibe100, the zipper pull broke which disables the ability to lock it... brought the bag to an authorized reseller and they were asking for a receipt which i've already long lost... bummer...

Only thing I do not like is no outside water bottle holder. My favorite 3 outside no need for super security are water bottle, umbrella holder and Oyster/tap card quick access

Hey glad you my review! So the bag dimensions are 15.7 x 9.1 x 3.1 in and an A4 is 8.27 x 11.69. So yeah it should fit with room to spare 👍🏼👍🏼

So it 'can' fit in the bag. With that being said... it is tight and it will press right up against the zipper when it is closed. The ipad width is 9.7" and the official bag width is 9.1".

mine lasted more or less 5 years before the cable on the slings started to breakdown.it will hurt if you get sting by it

johnneal cabalteja that is some pretty good life to get out of it! Over time with wear and tear I expect the cable will eventually wear through anyone’s bag. Still wouldn’t trade it out because it is worth the safety benefits. Thanks for the comments 👍🏼👍🏼

How do you adjust the strap ?

It's a slide adjuster on the strap. The adjuster is black and hard to see. Easy to adjust though!

kentower Hey! So the bag dimensions are 15.7 x 9.1 x 3.1 (straight from the specs). I am not sure what all the dimensions are of a 13” MacBook but this info should help you figure out if it would fit. 👍🏼👍🏼

Pacsafe is water resistance?

moca Dalidig it will do alright with some light rain, but it is certainly not water proof. Once wet the fabric actually holds the water and it it takes a while to dry it out.

If you wear it on your right shoulder the zippers will be on the bottom when you slide the bag from your back , under your arm to your chest.

I dont think someone will just cut your bag while you are wearing it. If they are brave enough they'll just point a gun at you and ask for your bag.

Aaron Bueno. So I get where you’re coming from, but having a gun isn’t that common for most countries outside the US. There are actually numerous accounts of travelers bag straps being cut quickly with box cutters and the thief being gone before they even had time to react. I’ve even heard of people whose bag was cut while waking down the street by a guy on a moped. It does happen more than you’d think. I think it’s a great feature to have... just in case!
