You're doing god's work here. PAD has developed so much in these 10 years, it can definitely overwhelm any new player, especially in the game mechanics that doesn't matter any longer, like card costs. I hope you keep doing these videos, very curious to see how you'll go around at explaining the awakenings and latents, since gungho does a terrible job at that.
Thank you for the compliment! This series is primarily intended to provide new players the information they need to set a good foundation as they start so that they won't be in a bad position once they grow out of being new. More detailed things like what each awakening does and what latents are is something I plan to cover in a joint series that dives into stuff that newer players still want to know but are lower priority on a need-to-know scale.

Thank you for simplifying this info. I have been so confused playing this game, i started playing because my twin sister loves it but I have had trouble understanding the mechanics, so I tried going in raw without knowing what the heck I was doing 😂 I have wasted so much material
Nice video! It summarizes everything I need to tell a friend when I introduce them to pad. However, I recommend speaking a little slower because it might be hard for a new player to comprehend.
I have a question I wanted to ask, but I wanted to phrase it correctly so that it didn't come off as confusing and also provide some context. I recently introduced a friend to the game, and they did not understand the concept of moving orbs and making combos. In the tutorial, they would sometimes struggle to make one or two combos, and would sometimes hope for skyfall to make combos for them. I tried showing them how to make combos in a fashion similar to Mantastic's method, where you break the board into sections and focus what can go into the sections, and they were still somewhat confused. I also tried to explain that the orb that you move around is shifting the other orbs, and that you generally want to try to link three orbs together to match them and have them erased from the board. I haven't helped them recently, but I did send them two videos on how to make combos, one of them being from Mantastic. I'd have to ask if they watched them. To get to my question, how would you explain the concept of moving orbs around to a beginner so that it doesn't come off as confusing?
That is actually going to be a future episode! It may take a while to get to because my focus is on perfection during production, but it's definitely in the works.
Oh, what does the +[?] when you’re selecting a dungeon? Always thought it meant something like rare invade but I never really bothered to figure it out.
