Our longest and most difficult trip yet, bushwhacking trails, slogging through swamps and stumbling our way up rapids. We were rewarded with gorgeous sunsets, thundering waterfalls, Canadian wildlife and stunning vistas over rock and water. Starting at Missinipe we paddled down the Churchill River to Stanley Mission, then up the Drinking River, across Wapassini Lake to Minuhik Lake, and down the Stuart River to Grandmother Bay which took us back to Missinipe.
Our Kevlar canoes were made by two Canadian companies, Souris River Canoes and Kisseynew Canoes.

I think the word portage must translate, "To suffer greatly but tell yourself its fun". That is beautiful country up there around Missinipe and i love canoeing there. Ric is very knowledgeable and helpful to get you on your way. Thanks for sharing! Great video work.

New subscriber. Your video came up in my feed this morning. Paddling around in Ontario, I sometimes forget how beautiful the other provinces are. Very much enjoyed this video. Thank you for sharing. Cheers, Rob.

And that is why you don't bring glass on a camping trip. Is it really that hard to pour a shot? Thanks for sharing your trip. You showed the young ones.

Ok… I have to ask… how old was your crew to tackle those gruelling portages and 14 days in the wild? You guys are crazy cool!!! Good job all of you.

Keep being active. It’s just so encouraging… seeing you not being intimidated and just rolling with the punches nature presented you with. Huge desire of mine as I get up there also.
