This looked like so much fun! My husband would have loved this. On a lake in Iowa he caught a 20 lb blue cat fish, I kid you not, the head on this fish was a good 8 inches across. It had lived in a small lake for years, the place was called Iowa Ammunition Plant, this plant made all kinds of shells, mortar, tanks etc and my husband worked there for years. This plant had a lake they stocked fish in for many years. It was an awesome place to fish.

Yes he is a great dad. I never went anywhere with my dad. We had a car but dad never wanted to go anywhere so mom and I either walked or took public transportation everywhere we went.

Glad to see spoonbill's have made a come back. In the mid '50's one jumped in the boat at Lake of the Ozark's and about knocked my dad out. And it was NOT on a hook. LOL

Years ago in Ozarks while one of the last times fished with my dad I had one on my line. Had no idea what it was but dang near wore be out bringing it in. My dad was screaming how he couldn’t believe I got one cuz he’d been trying for a long time. EmmaLee I got slapped on the upper lip too but my lip bled. Had no Everglades seasoning but my gramps fixed it just like you with his own secret batter. And yes I finally got him to give recipe to me before he passed. Not the best fish but it was so good especially putting salt on it after fried. That’s the only one caught and dad did try. EmmaLee you are good at whatever you do and no fears. Your dad should be very proud cuz tho you’re a girl you are awesome. Now we need to know how the RV living turned out and if you’ll take another trip with entire family. Really an awesome video 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Daniel, I remember, as a kid several decades ago, going with Dad to snag Spoonbill's at Gavin's Point Dam that is on the Nebraska-South Dakota border. We had lots of fun and the Spoonbill were huge and tasty. Now it is highly regulated and you can only snag fish for them only a few days a year. Brings back a lot of good memories. I know that Houston and EmmaLee will someday cherish these memories y'all are making! EmmaLee rocks! She is becoming quite the Sports girl!

Love this time change. Poor Emmalee when that fish went crazy. So gr8t you cleaned up that fish fryer that your Dad had. Been using it a fair bit eh. You guys seem to catch all kinds of fish! That paddlefish did look a dinosaur fish,I have never seen anything like it. It must have tasted pretty good if DJ likes it, I know there is some fish she doesn’t care for. Thank you for sharing this Arms family adventure and see you on the next video!!!😀😀😀
