Great video! I did this circuit twice in the 80s while in the Boy Scouts. We were from California. The best adventures of my young life were on the Bowron Lake circuit. So much fun! Thank You for sharing!
Wow I did that 55 years ago, late summer in 68, there were no markers ,cabins or campsites ,otherwise it's the same ,I remembered many of the same spots ,I saw that mooses ancestor ,wow thanks for those memories, I didnt have a camera then. ❤😊❤
That is awesome. Hopefully the Fall colors are out in full force for ya by then. Will be interesting and also kind of sad to see the destruction from this summers forest fires. Have fun and happy paddling. We already want to go back as well!
@@babbs286 pack light makes it easier on the portages, leave early mornings to have good pick of camp sites. Bring mosquito repellent for the west side.
If you wanted to, could you bring a high efficiency cooler full of meat or would it not fit in the food caches? I went canoeing like that once and there's really nothing like steak and bacon on a sandbar in the middle of nowhere 🙂
You could. As long as campsites aren't too busy you shouldn't have an issue fitting it in the cache. Even if your not overly concerned about the weight of packing along a full cooler you still need to be mindful that Bowron limits 60lbs of gear in the canoe if your using a canoe cart. They are strict about this and they will be checking and weighing you in prior to your departure.
I’m currently planning our trip here- what would you say you wish you brought/ are extremely glad you had? I can see you have extra gear like chairs, I would appreciate any and all info/ suggestions! 🤗
