5 Days on the Bowron Lake Circuit 

Located in Northern BC, along the Cariboo Mountain Range, the Bowron Lake Circuit is a chain of 10 lakes, connected by rivers and short trails. It is not open to motorized watercraft, and travellers need to be able to carry or transport their boats over a series of short, but challenging portages along the way.
We arrived at the beginning of September, 2023. The Summer wildfire season had been exceptionally devastating, and the lingering smoke was already threatening to block our wilderness views.
This is a look at our experience over 5 days on the Bowron Lake Circuit.
