Otro i would recommend switching to 4k footage. 1080p fine when watching on mobile, but on TV and desktop my eyes hurt :D Keep up the good work either way :)

I never play top spin. Way too risky and only makes the ball jump off the back glass higher. There's no point. The only time when it makes sense for me is for the smash so it can jump out of the cage. Other than that I always try to hit the ball flat (also for chiquita) or using a bit of slice when volleying, serving or taking higher balls.

It's only good on this specific situation when you are defending at the glass, because you are trying to ping the ball softly onto the feet of the net player. Net player will either hit the ball below net level so he can't attack back or the ball passes him and it shouldn't reach the back glass as you should be hitting it softly.

You don't use topspin so the ball get even lower to the their feets? Or crosses?

When the player is that close to the net it’s difficult hitting flat to get the ball over the net and down to the feet. Top spin allows the ball to travel faster but still in an arc similar to a football free kick, up over the wall and down. In order to play flat and get it to below the net you would have to play very soft which an experienced player would be able to step in and cut aggressively giving you a much harder shot.

My eyes are bleeding when I see players use topspin. This is a no no and players who use it must be trained to disable this reflex. You, Sven, were a tennis player but I think, I never saw you use extreme topspin in your videos.

No I will nog use extreme spin. Not as much as this guy tho. Some spin is fine
