I was surprised that Padma being the well known international foodie that she is, didn't say something about the different flavors and types of ketchup. It's like hot sauce. And there are quite a few different styles and tastes. Anywho, I've always had a small crush on Padma... Beautiful, great personality, and can brighten a room.

I don't know what Jimmy is talkin about! A Chicago Dog has no Ketchup. It's a Vienna Beef frank on a poppy seed bun with yellow mustard, sweet green pickle relish, chopped onion, tomato wedges, dill pickle spear, sport peppers, and a dash celery salt. So yeah i think Jimmy is confusing Chicago with L.A. with his ketchup comment.

Here in Chicago, it is sacrilegious to put ketchup on a hotdog. I think maybe he is referring to all the other amazing things we put on our dogs: mustard, celery salt, neon green relish, chopped onion, tomato, pickle spear, sport peppers, sometimes even some cucumbers…but NEVER ketchup, all on a poppyseed bun.

Nah she said in her opinion it is still a colony coz of its political status under US rule , past & present. From US invasion to seize of lands, (mis)use of land for military base & weapon/bomb testings to grant citizenship but with limited freedoms - eg. PRicans on the island pay fed taxes but cant vote in the US electiona and they have no Rep in Congress. PR is poorer than the poorest state in the US where almost 50% live under the poverty line. And of course the powers that be that defeats every referendum for either full statehood or total independence. Hence it looks and feels like it is still very much a colony of the US.

i think this whole ketchup question is a mute point, leave it to the individual! I personally loooove jalapeño (very important) ketchup on my scrambled eggs but i would never put ketchup on my french fries, there i am a mayo girl, hands down! so let people eat the way they want to eat and don't judge! it's all about the individual taste!
