and even then that’s with a lower case p 🙂 the Padres are a way more balanced team than last year. They’ve gotta play to their strengths, doing what it takes to win daily, becoming super consistent. As there’s no way they can catch the Dodgers (who will have 100+ wins), but the Padres could wind up a solid wild card team with about 85 wins.

Snit is not the right manager for this aggressive team, he's too laid back for a fast pace team, not once have he bunt too stay out of doubles.no answer from snit he just sit and rock, while his pitcher getting rock.

Oh sure, we might get a thrill for a few playoff games but what SD wants is a championship. This usually comes from a team with a REAL winning record - not 83-79.

They had to trade him. He didn't want to stay, so they had no choice. In the end, the trade worked out well for both parties.

That easy Phillies schedule, coupled with the hard schedule for the Braves a few weeks ago, in which the Braves had multiple series against strong teams back to back, caused the Phillies to take the lead and rocked the Braves confidence. So much for a "balanced" schedule. The pitching injuries in which the Braves pitching staff are like fragile China Dolls doesn't help, nor these ridiculously long slumps for the offense.
