Absolutely the most in-depth watch review I have ever seen! I was confused about the bezel. It looks like aluminum, but has engraved and painted numbers, which is a trait of ceramic bezels. This wasn’t clear on anything that I read about the watch, but this awesome review clarified that, and every other detail. Nice job!

The watch came in 2 hours fast/day out of the box but I managed to regulate it 0-2s fast/day. And changed the clasp with a Strapsco glidelock clasp. I am totally happy now.

Easy to regulate these yourself as long as you're careful (if you make a mess of it, then you might as well chuck them in the bin). Not a bad piece, the next level of Chinese GMT movements is the Hangzhou 6460 as seen in the San Martin and Cronos but these are just under $400 USD. However, both of these manufacturers have some issues/niggles with their GMT watches (there are a few reviews and comments on youtube), so spending quite a bit more is not necessarily a good thing-unless you get a really good one. It's good to see PD making small improvements to their bracelets and clasps, they haven't always been (I've never had any problems with them) Not sure as to the reliability of the pearl DG movements, there isn't much readily accessable long term info regarding them (that I can find)

I ordered this same watch on 1/6/2 £31.58 including tax. The only problem with my two Pagani I had to change the oyster bracelets to rubber straps hopefully when I receive this watch and PD1661 the bracelet will be of good quality. Pagani design watches are generally solid.
I think that's usually the case with many AliExpress watches. I have lots of straps & bracelets to swap! That said, the bracelet on the Pagani Spirit Homage is exceptional!

People seem to want too much for paying less.. The Pagani watches are big bang for your buck. As with any mechanical or electronic goods there will always be a few per batch that get through QC and end up in stores an warehouses... You can go to any store and buy anything that is faulty, people get a bad watch and trash every watch made by that company.. Nobody seems to trash apple when they bought an iphone and it was faulty!! They just get another replacement iphone!! I'm a big fan of Pagani, the quality for the price is brilliant!! If people want perfection then go buy and bigger more expensive brand!!
Can’t quite agree with you. I have two PD watches( Daytona and Batman GMT) The Point is that if you have significant issues- returning the Watch is a problem and not worth it financially. So Caveat Emptor

If you could buy the watch in a bricks and mortar store or on line from a reputable local seller then your statutory rights are unaffected.... Go on eBay for instance, you can buy the watch using PayPal, you pay that person's mark up but you are guaranteed a replacement or refund!! But be that as it may, the amount of watches pagani actually produce and sell that have no problems.far outweigh the amount that are faulty, the difference is people on watch sites are quick to raise a complaint and basically trash the brand.. There are many well I'm now brands that have issues but the difference is they can bought from a bricks and mortar store so the complaints are never raised on line and brought to the public's attention!! On a final note, you won't get a watch with the same specs for the same price range by a well known brand in a store!!

Some collectors have returned watches to the reseller under warranty and received a full refund, or alternatively replacement watch. Yes, it means returning the watch to China at ones own expense; the reseller does not cover the return shipping. However they do cover the shipping of the replacement watch. Pagani Design watches aren't sold by the factory on AliExpress. They wholesale the watches to many resellers that retail them at profit. Therefore the warranty being honoured or not varies from reseller to reseller on AliExpress. Pagani Design do not handle the warranty claims, that is the responsibility of the respective reseller retailing the watch. If one has a problem with a watch; the first step is to try the AliExpress dispute process for a full, or partial refund. The second step if this fails, is to negotiate returning the watch to the reseller for replacement, or refund. To make this happen, leave negative feedback on the resellers AliExpress store; and use this as leverage in order to negotiate the refund. Full refund and the negative feedback is removed. Yes, its a given that Pagani Design watches have poor QC. That is the reality of low-tier 100 Euro watches on AliExpress. If one wants higher QC level; one has to pay circa 350 Euro San Martin watches. However the aforementioned applies to their resellers honouring their respective warranty. Regards, #WR4K

Excellent review as usual. I would like to make a point that is hardly ever discussed. I notice there in no "made in ..." print on the dial of Pagani watched which for some people might be a put off and a downside - especially taking into account that; 1. this is considered standard practice across all price ranges and among nearly all manufacturers and 2. regarding Pagani, we ALL know that these are NOT made in Italy, despite the Italian sounding name, and are in fact made in China. ( I assume and therefore stand to be corrected !) So why not have Made in China printed on the dial ? A manufacturing company which is able to bring this amount of quality at this price range to the market should not feel the need to hide the place of origin of manufacture. 3. Many consumers including myself do like to know which country the product we are buying, be it food, wine, instruments or clothes, is made in - it acts as a reassuring guarantee of authenticity, eg, I would choose olive oil made in Spain or Italy or Greece over oil made elsewhere.

Hi...I have both, the GMT here and the Kermit from Pagani Design and I second your opions on those watches. I personally would pay for a better lume in a heart beat though. My favorite Sub homages are my two Tisell watches, both no date versions. One is the normal "diver" and the other one is a more vintage one with printed indices and a domed cristal. Both have super nice lume and are excellent through out. Have you ever reviewed a Tisell Sub homage? cheers Uwe

Your version does not have the word "Explorer" printed on the dial, but on the watch from your link it has. Do you know why there is this difference? I like it more without the "Explorer".

I just bought one of these... from a mass-market retailer. Which is the only place I would buy a watch like this from. Buying from China directly leaves you no resource... if you buy from Amazon or Walmart, they will send refund/replacement with no problem. :-) I don't have my watch yet, but considering the QC on these chinese movements, do you have a video about regulation? Like, how to manually regulate a watch that is off? I have a "watch repair" kit, I can remove the back off of watches. t I took delivery of this model yesterday from Amazon. Unbelievable one day delivery. Drop dead gorgeous watch but today a spring bar broke and the watch fell on the ground. Kind of aggravating. Luckily it just fell on the carpet...Oh well.

Sir real question. I am looking to buy this same watch but the question that I have is that to readjust the bracelet do I need to buy a little flat screwdriver or does it come in the watch box. I have seen videos where people mention that the watch comes with a little screwdriver, but then watch videos on pagani design like this one does not mention any scredriver, that is why I am asking you. Thank you for watching Enrique. Sometimes the watches come with a screwdriver, sometimes they don't. Therefore its best to buy a set of jewellers screwdrivers. See my video below where I give tips on bracelet resizing; including using Polymide tape to prevent scratching the links, and a butane blowtorch to heat up the thread lock in the screws. Often collectors chew the screw heads as they didn't heat up the threadlock to break the bond first. You will need a Bergeon 5757F spring bar tool (see link below). This has a fine two prong fork which will fit into the spring bar slot. First remove one end of the bracelet from the head of the piece. This will make it easier for you to access the spring bar slot inside the clasp. It's a bad design as there is only one slot, not two; but with the fine spring bar tool you can depress the spring bar and then move the clasp. Got one today, looked nice, even tho the bezel was slightly misaligned. But sadly I underestimated the taper of the bracelet, was too much for my liking, even though it was pretty comfortable. Bezel looks good, has a nice shine to it! Maybe I give it another shot with the o-style bracelet.
Congratulations Kurt. Excellent choice. Wear yours in good health. Sorry to hear the bezel was slightly misaligned. You can remove it in acetone then reset it with a new 3M adhesive ring from eBay. SKK007 adhesive rings fit the PD-1662. Yes, the Oyster bracelet works well on the PD-1662 and has a different taper to the Jubilee. The PD-1661 Oyster bracelets fit the PD-1662 case well. I recommend this seller for a bracelet. They sell both the polished centre link, and fully brushed satin versions. Dear WR 4K, 5 mm Rolex easy link style extension for the first time, or is it possible that my PD-1662 Pepsi from February 2022 does not have this function at all? I don't want to damage the bracelet. I would like to use this function on my Batman version with an Oyster bracelet, unfortunately I couldn't remove the bracelet from the folding clasp either, there is only 0.2 mm of air between the bracelet and the buckle.
Hello, I'm having an issue with my Pagani watch, and I hope someone can help me. When I set the date, for example, to Thursday the 14th, it never changes, even after midnight passes. I initially thought it was a manufacturing problem, but I tried it on a second watch and the same thing happened... I must be doing something wrong, but I don't understand what. Just to note, I do set the day and date when the time is set to 6:30 AM, as advised in some videos. Does anyone have an idea of what could be causing the issue? Thanks.

Nice review as always. Sometimes these low cost options cost you a lot more in the long-run. If I didn't have at least $500 then I would just save until I did. Why throw good money away on a watch with a sub-par movement? That just doesn't make good sense. For me, if I only had $100 then I would buy a quartz or save for a watch with a proven GMT movement.

Watch collectors are often impulsive; and want a Pepsi homage now for under 100 Euro, rather than waiting and saving up for a 600 Euro Ocean One 39 GMT. I concur that their are other good alternatives for under 100 Euro; such as the Casio Duro, or Phoibos PX002 for quartz; or Vostok Amphibia for automatic; all of which I have previously reviewed. Really it's hard to get a good GMT movement automatic piece for under 100 Euro. It is better to spend 600 Euro and get a Sellita SW330 in an Ocean One 39 GMT. Regards.
This watch looks awesome but I also want the Seiko movement. I am tempted to get it but am doubtful about Pearl movement. It's chinese, right? Steinhart is better but has very straight lugs which is criticized since many years. Squale is another rival here, but I think Pagani is an unbeateable value for the money. The most important is a reliable movement, though.

as i know for automatic watches date can't be adjusted at the 'danger zone' time @ 9pm to 3am. For the gmt hand if i adjust it during the 'danger zone' (without adjusting date), will it break any gears internally? is it safe to adjust gmt hand during tat time? tq

definitely not, the bezel on the cronos pepsi is ceramic (hard to do with blue and red) and the movement is better in the cronos compared to that of the pagani (I have the pagani batman and when changing modes on the crown, it feels fragile and the hacking sometimes takes a bit to actually stop the second hand). Also, when pushing the crown back in after it was hacked, the minute hand sometimes shifts forward which is annoying. But, the pagani is ~$100 on amazon whereas the cronos is ~$300 on aliexpress which justifies the quality difference

Pagani totally screwed me. I had problems with the bezel, misaligned and wobbly, also the numbers were pink on my Root Beer GMT. They wanted me to pay to exchange or return. Dozens of messages got me nowhere. Even Ali Express did nothing to fix the problem. China is still problematic. Don't do it.
Just very unlucky. Every pagani I've gotten, GMT Batman, Pepsi, and hulk homages have come in perfect condition for their quality. But yes, definitely stick to Amazon when buying pagani pieces. Aliexpress is good but their customer service is awful when it comes to complications, not to mention shipping is far quicker with Amazon.

Mine has 1 year old and I can tell you that the movement inside is just horrible and not precise at all i am losing 5 minutes each 2 days so the movement is trash just don’t buy the pagani design watches which are not equiped with seiko movements.
Most of the PD's I've bought had a choice between at least 2 different movements, usually a Seiko and a Miyota or Pearl,and the price differential wasn't more than a few euros,and even if you ordered with a Pearl movement it's probably unregulated which is something that any watch shop will fix for not much money.
I have had this watch for over a year and I really wanted to hate it. But it keeps unbelievable time for an automatic. I may lose a minute over a month. I thought about getting a Steinhart but can't do it. The bigger size Pagani Design watches are not very good. I have a 44 mm Black old-school Rolex look diver. The 44 mm doesn't keep good time plus already had problems with that one. For a cheap watch, this one is great but if you can afford it go with Steinhart it's so much better.
Not another review of this watch! To sum up good watch let down by QC issues ( various) and a ChineseGMT movement with dubious reliability/quality. Also warranty with Chinese watches next to useless
Pagani Design have now updated to the Seiko NH34A in the PD-1662. However the lume is still weak. Please refrain from using swear words when commenting. Regards, #WR4K
