Pagani Design watches remain a hot topic for watch groups and review channels. Many people discussing the brand, if you can call it that, fall into one or more of the following categories: 1. Have no point of comparison (i.e., they do not have or have never experienced the actual Rolex, Omega, Tag, etc for comparison), 2. Are promoting the brand for monetary benefit (you know the channels), or 3. Are simply watch enthusiasts, so when they say things like Pagani is a "bang for your buck" watch or is "basically the same as the real deal", you should not just inherently trust them given points 1 and/or 2. Time for Pagani Design Review and Reality Check Part Deux, but first we have to open the boxes.

This is definitely one of pagani's better models. They improved the finishing on the casing in V2, from all polish to brushed upper lugs and removed the date window.

I would feel just as embarrassed with that Daytona replica on my wrist as I would with a Lacoste polo shirt with a crocodile that is twice the size of the original. There are a lot of cheap watches out there with their own unique nice designs, these watches just make me cringe. (This is of course my opinion) And ps still interesting to see your reviews :)

haha I know what you mean. I plan to address the homage/copy issue in the next video which is the actual review. I already did one reality check video on a PD before, but I wanted to do one more in a little further detail. Not sure if people got the humor of the "homage" thing I did in this video. I have a very mixed audience so it's hard to know how this type of video will land. I tend to be more critical of them than some other very popular channels, but either way it's certainly a controversial issue.

Loved the video. I am OK with PD. I picked up their dressy "tuna"ish watch for $130 CAD (100 USD) and I gotta say it is hard to beat. NH35, sapphire, ceramic, great bezel action, nice bracelet (esp for the money) Cheers from Atlantic Canada!!!

I'm torn on PD. It really is an interesting way to explore a design and not break the bank, but it's also blatant design stealing. Of course with watch prices being what they are it's hard to blame people. A controversial coin for sure, which I will address in the next video. Thanks for watching :)

@@WatchComplications Pagani Design brings me closer to watches I ordinarily would/could not afford. When your car is worth $3,000 Canadian how can you justify spending 2k, 3k, $10,000 on a watch? You can't. My most expensive watch is my new Helm Miyako. Pagani Design makes watches for those of us who struggle to spend a few hundred on a watch.

Totally understand bud. I like that aspect of what they offer, though people will have conflicting views on it. I liked the design of the yachtmaster, but I'm also not a cyclops person, so the PD provided me a way to make what I really wanted at a low cost. Good watches can be had at any value...$10 to whatever, but it's also a question of what is good, while also protecting the work of makers. Very existential, I know 😅

I will certainly be giving that in detail in the actual review and reality check. I talked about it some in the one other Pagani vid I have, but I plan on illuminating the reality compared to Rolex, GS, etc…which I have for comparison :)
