Hey man just wanted to say that you're the reason I ended up finally ordering this figure. I was sooooo on the edge and your video made me just buy it. I love your format, love your review and your 5 point system, the head swaps really really are sealing the deal and is such a great way to show people how different looks would suit. All reviewers should do that and I love it as you show how the different looks work. Last but not the least, those pics man, goddamn I LOVED YOUR SHOTS OF THE FIGURE !!!! seriously you've totally got my sub and I cant wait to see more content from you. Keep up the great work man because me and I bet many others are totally loving it.
This figure looks pretty interestingly spectacular to me but the only gripe I have (like everyone has) is that the gray is grayish green not blackish or lighter gray color like in the comics is this a common mistake on Todd MacFarlane's part huh?
Man your video was the reason I finally got sold on this figure and it just arrived today and I am absolutely loving him. I love your reviews, the pictures you take and that headsculpt changing really is such a good addition which is something we don't see very often. Keep up the great work man and looking forward to so many more reviews and blame you for emptying my wallet hahaha
Honestly as much as I am pissed off that Todd keeps doing Batsy, atleast he does them good, almost all of the Batman figures Todd has made always looks cool and badass like the Rebirth, the page punchers, the future state, and the Snyder cut version.
The way I figure, every company with a Batman license will always make a million Batmen, but at least McFarlane is giving us versions from actual comics and video games rather than things like "Laser Cannon Batman" or "Slolam Racer Batman."
now do you mean just the logo or the chest in general? I have seen online people pry the logo off the chest and glue the big batarang he comes with in its place.
Already did Dr Fate, actually. As for Constantine, I recorded it and the mic was glitching for half the video, so I have to reshoot. It's coming, but it will take a little longer because I am working on other videos that will be coming first.
really like the comparison and headswaps segment- mcfarlane should really make the heads bigger and use cloth for the cape, if Hasbro can make jedi robes wih the price point of their figures then todd too - great review
Thanks so much. There is a creator I love called Specter Creative who used to work for Mattel and was the creative director of DC Universe Classics. According to him, from a manufacturing point of view, there is no price different for the company between soft goods or plastic capes, just preference, so they could afford to do it. And hey, Year Two Batman had an extra cloth cape, so maybe we will see more.
@@5POAFigureReviews - i miss the old Metal gear line of Mcfarlane, i wish he brings that back in 6" with articulation and incorporate that style with DC license - and yah hopefully he does switch to soft goods too
Rebirth Batman has a much smaller torso and head; it's one of my main gripes about that figure. It's such a shame too because it's one of the best neutral Batman head sculpts.
I know it wasn't supposed to look like this but I actually love this olive tone, it's just very different and I'd like to get him just because of that :p
Was the page punchers head on the battinson body loose at all? I think I may go that route due to the side eye. That & death metals head? You very much convinced me to try some customizations lol.
Mine too. Believe it or not I got it for free. I once moved into a house and the previous owner left a box of figured behind and this was one of them. I was super stoked. Felt like a good omen lol
Useful and entertaining review, well done! Quick question: I really likew this figure and I was considering buying this but I also really like the batman rebirth figure and since you own both of them I wanted to ask you which one do you think is better? (I own 6 inch scale figures and intend to use him as a buff/bigger batman and I also want to do stopmotion with it so please hold in mind things like articulation and scale)
the sculpt looks nice but the figure in the review looks like its a dark green. It could be lighting. But I've seen others review where it looks the same color. Hopefully I can see it in store.
The head swaps for this figure is awesome. How does this look like with the Dark Knight Batman head? I used that head on the Death Metal Batman and LOVE IT.
@@5POAFigureReviews Awesome. It's amazing how much a simple headswap can improve a figure. I recently did a headswap with the McFarlane Dark Knight Returns figure and the Mattel Dark Knight Returns figure. Then I have the unmaked Flashpoint Batman to the Mattel DKR figure to make an old unmasked Bruce Wayne/Batman.
Thanks so much! You might be right lol Thinking of getting an extra to paint black so y'all can see how it would look instead of saying "you'll have to paint it black" every time I do a swap.
Maybe I’ll start collecting only page punchers so all the figures scale properly. Idk, I don’t mind 7inch figures but some McFarlane figs are either freakishly huge or too tiny. Only time will tell if the next wave scales well with this one.
I had a few requests for that one, so I did it in the Owlman video if you wanna see. His head on Dark Knight was okay, other way around looked pretty silly though lol
I have a quick fix for this figure and other McFarlane figures if their legs keep popping off; you have to use the super glue 3 pack from Harbor Freight. And trust me, it won’t glue his leg still. It’ll definitely hold it onto the body though.
I wish they make a smaller green arrow with additional single arrow and multiple hands, also again regular wonder woman that fits JL, I personally prefer mcfarlane overall to be smaller, the closer to 6 inch scale is better than making them giants like early Batgirl and 3 jokers And with this and mega fig bane...where are those alternate fist hands?
I definitely agree about Bane! And obviously Wonder Woman. Hopefully they give us either a classic Ollie or a New 52 and rectify the scaling issue with him.
To me this batman would definitely be good for a batman noel figure. Just paint the suit gray and change the logo and attach it to the front part of the cape and you're good to go. I'll definitely get him to do just that. Maybe not change the logo but ill see about painting his suit gray. I might end up leaving him the way he is but if i decide to, ill definitely paint his suit gray.
@5POAFigureReviews I'm going to get him to do that. But like I said I might just leave him the way he is. His green suit doesn't bother me but I do wish it was gray.
@5POAFigureReviews I just found this batman at a Walmart I've never been to, and I love this figure. I definitely can't deny this figure is a batman that works from 2 different comics, the one that this is from and batman noel. I swear some the batmen that Todd makes definitely work for other things besides what they are based on lol.
Speaking of Ben Affleck and Christian Bale, Uh.... Christian Bale: Don't let me catch you again. Ben Affleck: I'm trying to be you. Christian Bale: I don't need you. Ben Affleck: What gives you the right?, What is the difference between you and me? Christian Bale: I'm not wearing hockey pads.
Half a point for price? The amount of detail in the sculpt , paint and the quality of the figure is unreal for 24.99 it blows away anything else on the toy shelves . One full -point you have been overruled:
People really complain about the gray camo color? I never heard people complain the matrix series was all saturated in green.. why not just enjoy something different..stupid
You're complaining you're getting an exclusive comic to save a buck or two when the whole thing is the same price as a basic Multiverse figure? Seems kinda silly. In that case I could complain as to why include a reprint on the 3" PPs, save a buck or so by not having to send the comics back to press and just sell the 4 figure set together for like $20. Keep in mind it's the same comic for all 4 7" PPs that's what saves on price. If all 4 figs had their own exclusives then I can see the prices being higher.
If you buy all 4 figures you are spending $20 for 4 copies of the same comic. Compare that to a build a figure for the same price. That, to me, is silly. But if you're cool with it more power to ya. I just feel like there would be more value in giving four unique reprints of existing comics than to pay people to write and draw a new one and then expect you to be okay buying it four times.
@@5POAFigureReviews believe it or not the money spent to produce a comic is a fraction of what it would have cost McFarlane to make a new figure. He probably saved thousands in that deal. And i have my suspicions that the comic was gonna be a one-shot release by DC to coincide with the release of the BA movie, so Todd likely didnt commission the exclusive comic from DC but more than likely offered by DC when talking to them about doing the PP program.
I swear, if you locked Todd McFarlane in a room, gave him a gun and said “You have two options: You either shoot yourself or you make your collectibles in a normal scale that works with other toys/collectibles” he’d blow his own head off without a second thought. This has been a consistent issue for decades, now. No friggin’ clue why he insists on making his stuff inconsistent.
I think the Page Punchers slew intentionally smaller because they are marketed as DC Direct. If you notice they scale much better with DC Essentials and later DC Collectibles. That's why I didn't include them in my Top 10 DC Multiverse. Even so, scale is all over the place in DC Multiverse proper as well so
