That was the “wide track Pontiac”. Surprised they didn’t mention that. It was heavily promoted that the wheelbase was widened.

not sure if it is true but was told by a Pontiac sales rep it happened that the pontiac motor would not fit the chevy frame so whole set up was widened

I owned a 59 x2 and 60 Aussie assembled Pontiac 4drs which had Chev chassis and drive trains and therefore looked a bit odd compared to the widetrack stance.I was surprised to hear him say there is only a few hundred left in America after 350 thousand built.Hard enough finding one of the Aussie ones now since there was roughly only 250 built each year for 59,60.I would love a Pontiac like this one but I think I would have to go for a 1960 Olds coupe. But I do love those finned Mopars.

5:38 “Even children. Even 5, 6, 7yo kids instinctively know that there is something different about this car, and they turn and look whenever you go by.” Because it’s not a boring modern white or black SUV or truck. It’s not their parents vehicle. It’s not like any vehicles they’ve probably seen before. I know this came out in 2003, and was probably even filmed in 2002, but in 2020 it’s much much worse. At least in 2002 there were more cars on the road, more colors, more variety.
