The cost of following Jesus is high. In fact, it could very well cost you your life. In this moment in Acts 14 we see one of Jesus' closest followers lose his life, as well as another be miraculously delivered from what was sure to be a similar fate. The early church was persecuted for following Jesus and held fast to the promises that he made to them, as they were witnessing history being made and God bringing glory to himself.
