I thought it was a pretty neat watch until I heard the price tag. I wouldn't buy one over an Oris, much less a Tudor, breitling, or a second hand Omega.

He also hates it because TGV started spruking it a few years back. As soon as TGV takes an interest in any of these small brands, Archie comes and stomps all over them. Though, there is a certain level of justification.

At least the Sellitas that IWC get from Sellita are specially made to a higher level of quality and tolerance than the normal Sellita offerings. They are rated to run at 0 to +2 seconds a day, way better than COSC certification. You can't buy the IWC Sellitas off the shelf. As for Bremont, they are using chronometer grade movements, which cost a little more. And the bronze case models you are talking about attract a £400 premium over the steel models. But even then, I can't see where the rest of the money goes either. Those steel ones should be £1250 max and the bronze £1750 at a push. That's based on the prices of Sinns bearing in mind that Sinn use Top grade Sellita movements, but at least imbue their timepieces with their various technologies that make them workhorse tool watches. Comparitively, Bremonts merely look nice with nothing of substance to back up the ridiculous asking price. If Bremont really want to operate in the price range they clearly want to, they need to develop their own proper inhouse three hand automatic movement that isn't a rebadge. They also need to make their build quality bombproof, so to speak.

Overpriced, £3000.Ha ha ha ha ha , what a joke. For a smidgen more you can get a Tudor Black Bay 58, or the outgoing Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch pre owned, or the Breitling like Archie suggests and have money left in your pocket. All three better options than this and with better value retention. Tudor also has a Black Bay in Bronze if that is your thing, also better option than this. Even Oris is better, in my opinion, they make a steel and bronze diver , which is also with a Sellita movement , and cheaper .No , I would personally never buy this, watch, there are just too many better options in my humble opinion.
