@@anthonytaylor7928 better year playing nobodies? sorry if rooting for our team makes you uncomfortable. not our fault. let us be happy with their performance, they opened a door for improvement. I’m not wrong about what I said. what makes other teams preform better than them? right, it’s the lack of competition on their schedule, aside from SC and UCLA. Uconn is the only team that played more ranked teams than anyone, loses or not. Who has Iowa played? VT and k state when they were later ranked. lsu played Colorado and VT. K state beat Iowa and they’re higher than uconn. Baylor beat Utah and has risen high. they bounced back good, sorry if success offends you, pretty good with us having confidence. Notre dame is higher than them when they only played SC. Uconn beat 3 ranked opponents so far, sounds pretty good to me.

@@anthonytaylor7928 you need to see WHEN they lost, this poll changes with time, if you lost then beat 2 ranked teams and won every other game since then, you should be looked at. Uconn lost to ranked teams, before nc state who deserved to be ranked, it only makes sense to keep them in, no other school started with playing competitive games the way they did (they played Louisville, North Carolina, Texas, ucla, nc state, Maryland). It’s been almost a month and they have played heavy competition, the poll also sees how much you’ve improved since loses, uconn struggled with injuries, just two days ago they lost another player for the season, see how much they’ve held up since then, pretty well. And way better than some teams ranked above them, they’re just no way uconn is #17 when VT lost to two ranked teams, k state beat Iowa only, and so much more. They still have some good games till the next ap poll, games they will most likely win and enter the top ten, that’s where I’m coming from, after a week, they’re up their wins to 10. SOME teams are only ranked because of their non-conference weak opponents, conference games started, so real competition is also starting.

Caitlin Clark has had the career I thought Paige would have coming out of HS. I pray Paige can remain healthy. Perhaps fans will even get the pleasure of seeing a UConn-Iowa matchup.

To me Clark feels more like Doncic and Bueckers feels more like Jokic. Paige's game will translate better to winning at the next level even as Caitlin is more spectacular.

If you mean statement in terms of improvement over previous games, then I agree. We may see a win against a top 5 ranked team later in the season, but this Louisville bunch was ranked 18th and look at who Louisville has played compared to who UConn has played...

@@mplou699 well she not known for doing that but she stepped up her gm since Azzi is out ,I'm pointing out how she is n always been a all around player unlike Caitlin Clark who is just a long distant shooter ,but Paige is a distant shooter,blocker,defender,ECT so I give her props it don't matter if she is almost a senior or not ,some of them stay an ex yr n still can't do what she does

Paige is, and has always been, better shooter than Clark. Paige has the best mid range gane in NCAA history, only Maya is in her league. She shoots 6% better from 3 for her career, and 8% this year. Paige also finishes at the cup better, especially through contact. Clark is just a ball dominant, medium efficiency stat padder who has a predictable game, is a disaster on D, and has had some real struggles against better teams. Occasionally great, often far less.Paige is a generational passer, and one of the best clutch players I've ever seen. Clark is not on Paige's level

@@cbrend22 Paige is the reason I started paying attention to women's basketball, but I think Clark is better. Paige is great in that UNCONN system, but I don't see her being as efficient if teams were playing her the way they play Clark. Just look at the different outcomes against South Carolina.

Paige is just warming up! This is like pre season for her, she was out a whole year! Wait until division play and then into the tournament, they will be on fire! You will see the old paige and uconn will start to dominate the basketball world again! She wants a championship for uconn!

With the exception of the brilliant coaching move to pack it in against Boston because SC couldn’t throw the ball in the ocean, Iowa couldn’t defend against a juco. They got all the way to the natty on the strength of Clark. I’m a huge Czinano fan but get real the only way she got her points is because Clark is demanding attention with her ability to get to the cup. Yes Iowa has other shooters but let’s face it without Clark and playing NO defense they are toast!!!

and it took PB 35 total minutes to do so, and you fail to mention she had TWO turnovers. FRESMAN M. Fulwiley 18 POINTS 8-16 FROM THE FIELD 7 REBOUNDS 4 ASSISTS 4 STEALS 3 BLOCKS NO TURNOVERS in just 21 MINUTES.

@@mplou699 Paige has higher ORTG, PPP, PPSA, and EFG%….and who did SC play? A mid major non ranked team? who did uconn play? A ranked team omg believe it or not! look at their total turnovers the beginning of the season till now and tell me which one has more, milaysia is a FRESHMEN who’s allowed to make mistakes but obviously you don’t use your brain and actual logic to even compare a freshmen to a junior, you just can’t stand Paige being successful all you do is pour hate…embarrassing. also, why are you crying about two turnovers? She shot 67% from three that Louisville game, and 100% in the unc game. Milaysia was 28% from three the same game you gave stats from. Again, hate to compare them because they’re both amazing players but you need to realise how stupid what you said is.
