Join me as we take a journey along the Paignton & Dartmouth Steam Railway hauled by BR(W) 7800 Class 4-6-0 no.7827 'Lydham Manor'. Along the way we pass such places as Quay West Water Park, Goodrington Sands, Churston and Greenway Halt. In part 2 we ride on the 14:15 departure from Kingswear to Paignton.
Filmed on a Panasonic HDC-HS900 with a Panasonic VW-VMS2E Microphone.

Nobody but a fool could possibly vote this a dislike. The film deserves an award it's so good. Marvellous choice of vantage points and the whole thing shows more than you can see just by going on the same trip - I know I've done it and it's better to see it on film you get better choice of shots. Thanks for this peaceful and super interlude. Sound was so appropriate too.

What a fabulous train! While on holiday in Devon I didn't get a chance to ride it - just watch jealously from across the river in Dartmouth.

Wish I had a pound for every time we've been on the steam railway . Last aug my grandson went down to Dartmouth on the footplate of the train . He loves steam trains

I’ve been on this railway many times but the Manor always seems to evade me I’ve been on that line behind 5239, 4277 and 75014, but never the Manor It’s odd

Austin Jackson Oh I don’t know what that one is called. The one going the other way from goodringtpn to churston is goodringtpn bank but the other one I don’t know.
