Itto's Japanese VA, Takanori Nishikawa, is in fact a musician in real life and he has had a very successful career as a singer since the 90s, much more so than as a voice actor.
Fun Fact, Itto's JP VA, Takanori Nishikawa, is musician, singer, songwriter, record producer and radio personality. He performs under the stage name T.M.Revolution (T.M.R.), which stands for "Takanori Makes Revolution". He is also known for contributions of ending and opening themes to many notable anime and game series. For example, he's responsible for Soul Eater's 1st op - Resonance. Also, from what people pointed out, a part of the song seems very similar to the content of a farewell letter written by a girl from Gaza, in which she leaves her money to her relatives and friends. The description of Battle Pass namecard during that version, which is themed around the main event, was this: ""The world does not love its children. If not, why chase them into the next one?" "What do you know? Maybe that one rocks even harder."" Which also adds to that
@@tiha1076 From the comment by gyuniku_manjyu (the top comment there) on the post "The song lyrics from the music festival event could have a hidden meaning" by IttoEnjoyer_: "Part of the lyrics actually refers to a will letter written by a Palestinian girl. And the names are those rescued by the Puppy Union. It's somewhat an anti-war song which fits the Rock and Roll theme of this event as well. Will letter reference is here Translation of a letter written by Haya, an 11 year old girl in Gaza. ‘Hi my name is Haya & I will write my will now: my money: 45 shekels for mama, 5 for my sister Zaina, 5 for my brother Hashem, 5 for my grandma, 5 for my aunti Hiba, 5 for aunti Mariam and 5 for my uncle Aboud, 5 for aunti Sara my toys and all my things for: my sister Zaina my friends Dina Mina Amal. my clothes: to my cousin and if anything remains donate them. my shoes: donate them for the poor and those in need, after you wash them of course. my accessories: for my cousins and Sara, Hiba my cousin.’"
Many people already said that Itto’s Japanese VA is a singer, but I wanted to add that you may have heard him if you ever listened to the first opening of soul eater!
Cute/fun fact about Paimon and Itto rivalry is that they're both Tauruses and apparently the reason why they butt heads so much is because they're so alike.
In terms of other event cutscenes that might be worth reacting to, there was a Mondstadt event about 2 years ago called Weinlesefest, where Venti performed a song, except it was written more as a poem, and Venti’s English VA was the only one who decided to come up with a melody for it, and they decided to actually use that take. Other than that, most events involving Itto are great, but one particular dialogue scene that comes to mind is a funny Itto & Paimon moment from “The Test of Courage”. Not sure if that would be wort reacting to though, as the moment itself is rather short
I’m so super glad you’ve reacted to this! :D I was having a constant smile as well the first time I saw this in-game. And the other reason I’m glad to see your reaction is that the first few people who uploaded their reactions to this scene were kind of frustrating to be honest… stating so matter of factly that “their singing is cringe” or “Paimon ruined it”, like, maybe they’re prejudiced to hate fairy-like companion characters in games, but I can’t even begin to understand how they could honestly believe this was bad…
I mean, my playthrough also has a bunch of Paimon love. Including in this scene. haha And I've been recording my playthrough since launch! (I haven't uploaded this part yet though...)
