I think that episode is an written masterpiece to tell a story

There are many people in this fandom that hate Stella. My opinion, I'm not sure. I mean, she & Tony had more chemistry, they had a daughter, Ted & Stella were both rushing into this but what can you expect from the guy who tells a girl "I'm in love with you" on a first date. This wedding was a mistake & would eventually make one of them run away before the ceremony. She had no one except Tony at the wedding. Ted had his friends & could've ran away with Barney or Robin or the whole gang

I also started watching himym in this year,people who are bored with f.r.I.e.n.d.s and want to see something like friends they should definitely watch himym...this show is totally legend....wait for it ...dary legendary

That plot twist was too much for me couldn't take it was very angry and upset

What is both interesting and frustrating about How I Met Your Mother, is that the entire story is from the pov of an unreliable narrator - the premise of the show is literally Ted telling his kids a story about his past, with blatant changes and modifications to suit his narrative - some of it just jokes, like the "sandwich" thing, or his girlfriend "Blah Blah", but it is made very clear that he will alter details or even forget or misremember various plot points, misrepresent or misunderstand character motivations, and generally just exhibit a bias in his story. Because of this, you can never quite be sure, whether or not what he says happened, actually happened that way.

I still like Stella. Throughout her relationship with Ted, there were plenty of moments that showed that, not only were they incompatible, but that Ted is just garbage at listening to what his romantic partners actually want. She could have ended things better, but Ted also could have not invited both of their exes to the wedding. How is Stella supposed to feel like she can trust Ted to listen to her when she speaks when he didn't the entire episode?
