I've been a fan of your videos. I only started playing last August. What is your lineup in Arena to consistently maintain your rank in top 250 and hall of fame? How is Abraxa doing also? I have invested heavily on azrael and I'm not sure if he's worth it. Thanks.
Thanks :) For pure arena play, many lineups are probably going to work, but imo you need to be able to do a few things (mind, I only play high level CM league, so the same characters might not be what you fight everywhere). - Someone to suppress or neutralize Revas (or at least one dangerous OW character). Infiltrate can be used for instance. - Something to deal with heavy armor (like Bellator/Calgar/Burchard) quickly - Some overwatch yourself, for those maps where you are caught between a rock and a hard place (so where attacking is not great and skipping is not great) - You need bodies, so a few summoners is great. - AoE is great if you get hit with a summoning stick (e.g. Calgar active) I used to run Yarrick, Archie, Aleph, Noble, Calandis (which was switched for Ra when I got him unlocked), but since I like being efficient, I switch out guys when they reach lvl 50 (execpt for Noble). I currently run Revas, Sho'syl, Abraxas, Noble and Ra. Three summoners, one suppresser, two overwatchers (revas active), three that can deal with armor (Ra+Noble passive, Sho and Abraxas active). You can make many other team comps, but I think redundancy is important. And knowing what characters to fight. You will have much harder time fighting Celestine + Calgar + Noble + Bellator + Sho for instance, there are too many priority threats. Most of my guild mates avoids the three first characters in arena altogether. So to answer for Azrael specifically: I wouldn't build him myself, because he's not very useful in GR, which is important to me, but as a suppresser and OW'er himself, I'm sure he can be quite useful in arena.
@@Painhawk thanks alot for this very detailed explanation. I mean it's been months and me and my team are still lost but we're slowly ranking up. I don't have the top legendary characters (only abaddon which is weak in this meta) you have mentioned but aside from Azrael, I have Revas, sho syl, thaddeus and Abraxas. I also have Yarrick and archimatos combo. Mind if I ask why is Abraxas better than Archimatos overall in your lineup?
If you are using Yarrick, Archimatos is pretty decent, but in pure power Abraxas is a lot stronger because his summons deal psychic damage which goes through armor like it’s butter. It’s down to tastes though, I just like him better and have better results. There are a few maps or situations I bring Archie instead, especially if I can summon 6 daemons T1. Btw, I don’t think I mentioned Abaddon anywhere? If I did, it was a mistake. He’s “useless”
@@Painhawk I agree abaddon is so useless. He is my legendary pull and at first I thought I was lucky but realized he's crap. What type of map do you bring Archie, the big and has clear path ones? Also aside from your main lineup, what are your adjustments in Arena aside from Archie as a substitute to Abraxas?
@@bryanvingilot863, yeah, the big maps, but especially the one where you start on the left side and the opponent start on the right side with three characters close and two farther away. Aside from avoiding losses, arena is all about token management, but that's a whole other story, which I may or may not make a video on later.
2 per day from GR shop and 4-6 per day from Rogue Trader. I had some orks just waiting for orbs before cashing them in, plus I only onslaught winged characters for badges now. Also grind 120 energy per day for elite node shards for winged characters. It is the pleasure of having "maxed" characters. The rest from Torunament arena, battlepass, a few from normal arena and elite missions. I also bought the books from the normal shop on weekends (which isn't very efficient, but it was fun to get 500 books). It all ads up in the end. But time is obviously important.
