This is a very informative video! I did not think about repeating patterns before. I thought the designer/artist would just paint a design on a square template and that design would repeat on without any alterations to the square. I was not aware that you had to cut up the square and rearrange the pieces in order to get a repeating pattern. Thank you so much for the insight into how repeating patterns are made. 😊
Glad it was helpful. There are a few ways to go about it, sometimes it doesn't involve cutting up the paper - but if you get the theory behind this method, that helps you work out the others.
