I can well imagine the nervous anxiety that comes with classic car ownership when you have to entrust your car to professionals for work you can't do yourself. Considering the swirls that a professional painter introduced to the paint, it's obvious that the greatest of car has to be taken to get the right result. My parents owned a white 1984 GT/E Opel Manta 2L injection with the Reccaro interior and square headlights. Back in the day, it used to turn heads when we drove around in it. It was a drivers car, but not great as a rear seat passenger. We finally sold it after my dad was forced to sit in the back seat on a trip around the Lake District and got car sick. Mum was a Lake district native and drove those roads rally style! You did a fantastic job on that car. Thanks for sharing and taking me on a trip down memory lane. RIP Mum, miss you forever.

This bought some nostalgic memories back, growing up i lived on a street next door but one to a guy who owned one of these exact cars in 1985, was one of the coolest cars on the street apart from the Kermit green Mk2 Mexico escort opposite, I would often see him loading stuff in the boot, guitar cases and such like. it never really resonated with me as a young lad bombing about on a BMX…..but it turned out the bloke was actually Jeremy Ryder, AKA Jack Hues the lead singer of 80’s band Wang Chung 😃 Forever etched in the memory

A Manta 😍. So rare now. I've watched the video now. Smiles all the way as I had a Cavalier sportshatch which was the same shape as this Manta. Many happy memories brought back throughout the video seeing the various parts of the car. Jim - brilliant production, music etc as usual, thanks. You've inspired me to machine polish my 26 year old Westfield as my first machine polish. Slow progress but worth it.

That takes me back. Love the Moss Security stickers. I installed a couple of Moss alarms in my cars in the 80’s. For those too young to remember they were DIY fit alarm systems that were really popular in the 80s. Haven’t seen a pair of 6 x 9 speakers sitting on the rear parcel shelf for a couple of decades either!

One of my favourite cars and a hell of a video .. I've recently picked up a P38 range rover for my channel that needs a lot of work .. and I may end up getting some paintwork done but I am going to hit up a video of detailing it and paint correcting it to see if it can be made somewhere near for this years use. i much prefer seeing older cars get the loving treatment than new ones :-)

As a 13 year old boy when the neighbour across the street came home with this car It became my all time favourite car along with the audi quattro. I worked for national car cleaning company in the late 80s with a pal we would be planted around different showrooms and de wax to show room their latest cars as well as private chauffeurs etc. It was hard work like you my arms were done in daily Anyone having their car done by this man whatever you are paying him its not nearly enough Trust Me. He's taking your car back to the day it hit the showroom covered in protective wax stickers and writing which is 100 times harder than my job Don't forget to tip. I swear I don't know him I just love this motor I know the work he has put in physically the time and thanks for presenting immaculately the dream car I stared out my bedroom window at

As far as I'm concerned Jim you deserve all the praise you get, your work is absolutely superb and even though my car is old and not worth a lot of money it's debatable as to whether it's worthy of a detail I would trust you completely to work on it. Well done again I especially love it when you work on cars that are older than 15 years old and it just shows how good some old cars can look with the right and correct treatment. Well done also on 100k subscribers you deserve 10 times that with the effort you put in and the time you take, you're editing and videos are always second to none.

Just brilliant Jim, like your customer says, you seem to treat everyone's pride and joy with the same level of care and detail no matter the price or age of car, love seeing the old school motors given as much care as the cars most of us can only dream of owning, hats off!!....... if its tendinitis your suffering with in elbows, I get it bad being a carpenter, arm straight out with palm facing away, fingers facing upwards and stretch it out by pulling fingers towards you, works a treat for me.
