Have you tried an airless paint sprayer? If not, do you have any concerns using one?

Painted SW Emerald Agreeable Grey in main part of the house and it went on in one coat. Looks as good today as when I painted it. Touch up after the fact blends perfectly. Used SW Emerald for the exterior of home and 5 years later it looks brand new. Only thing with Emerald is you have to wait for a sale. It’s like buying liquid gold when it’s full price. Considering a paint sprayer to do my old kitchen cabinet doors. You make some good points about dragging the cord. No matter how hard I try to stay clean, by the end of the day I’m not. About 8 years ago refinished them using Rustoleum Cabinet Transformation and they still look ok but not as good as they could.

would be nice to see you load the paint into that bag and clean it after use instead of filler material like the brand of paint, etc...important to see how much of a pain in the ass it is to do the tedious things and how messy it is etc...

I think the first time using this it’s just understanding what you’re doing so it may take a long time an youryou wish that you would’ve just hand rolled it but once I learned the steps, it went like clockwork but then you gotta learn how to clean it right too and that’s a whole other process but overall, this machine is pretty cool and easy to use once you get it

Just painted that SW Emerald paint and ai have to say what a mistake! Should have used BM Advance, this SW paint scratches so easy its ridiculous. Let it dry a couple of days then when went to install dead bolt and my hand lightly touched door where my nail (hardly have any mind you) left a scratch? When I installed it my hands got light dirt on some areas so I washed off with a paper towel and water left mark where I cleaned it. Spray several things with advance after it cures 16 hours leaves rock hard cleanable surface.

You did something wrong in the painting process, I’ve been painting 25+ years, that emerald is tough paint. We just sanded a whole set of cabinets throughout a house that was previously painted with emerald, all the cabinets, 155 doors, 32 drawers and it took us 9 days to sand them , that’s how durable that emerald is, you did something wrong. I have emerald on my cabinets in my kitchen now for 4 years, not a scratch.

@@dannymiller1539 Brand new door, cleaned it then applied one coat of SW Extreme Bond primer, then after 4 hours I opened a well shaken can from SW store stirred a bit then poured into sprayer and applied a thin coat. Sprayed ok but after waiting until next day thinned paint < 5% (probably closer to 3% if you want to be exact) stirred well and sprayed next thin coat, waiting another 4 hours then applied last coat. Let dry for 2 days before installing so what did I do wrong? Recently painted a bathroom cabinet with Advance came out exceptional and rock hard, painted a front door at other advance came out nice rock hard, used SW emerald throughout my entire interior trim including all doors they all look great and appear to be holding up.

I bought it at Home Depot. It's helpful to have a second person hold it in place while pouring paint through it.

I was able to get about 80% of the bugs off. I’ll try touching them up with a foam brush once it’s installed this week. I plan to make a video about the door installation and show the touch ups.
