I'm trying a new paint sprayer on furniture, and it was an adventure. I'm spraying furniture with an airless sprayer today, and I made a lot of mistakes. Did I ruin my dresser? You'll have to watch to find out.

You've probably figured this out by now, but to get this gun to another level, be sure to pick up a FFLP (fine finish low pressure) tip. Makes a HUGE difference in the finish! Great video

I'm a few months into redoing my own furniture I have learned a lot from the beginner video's to the advanced video's and my own mistakes. I have all the basic supplies but as I learn and grow in skills I want to flip for profit and continue to grow my tools and supplies. I'm a single mother of 3 boys and last year I took in my childhood BF little one. I do it all on my own on a tight budget but we are all happy and healthy. That's what matters to me. I would like to make this a side hustle to make our lives a little easier and since I fell in love with the whole process I think it's going to be a great venture to take. Thank you for sharing all of your tips, tricks and talent with us.

Thank you for showing the imperfections. I have an older model of this sprayer that I used once to put oil based clear on kitchen cabinets. That worked out well, put I didn’t use it again. Recently took it out, ran some water and pump armor in it. Want to try some caulk paint on a headboard. So glad you made this video!

Christina, another great video showing us all the pros and cons. I really appreciate how honest you are explaining the good and the bad. I love this color of Dixie Belle paint, stormy seas, beautiful. My husband and I spend the summer months in upstate New York and I was having to order and have my Dixie Belle paint shipped to New York. Now we are back in Tampa Florida, just down the road from Dixie Belle. I can’t wait to get back to my shop that carries the Dixie Belle and shop all the beautiful colors. Once again you have produced a great video. I am new flipper I bought a Wagner paint sprayer and haven’t mastered it. I am nervous of using the sprayer and messed up one piece so bad that I have way more money in than I could sell it for! I felt like a failure. So thank you for show us what can go wrong. I finally got brave and painted my kitchen cabinets using Dixie Belle Silk paint in the colors Baja Gray on the lower cabinets and Whitecap on the upper cabinets. I also used the Dixie Belle glaze in black on the lower cabinets. I am really impressed with the Silk paints! Thanks to you Christina and Dixie Belle paint for giving me the tools and the instructions to tackle furniture painting.

I am so thankful for your honesty!!! I will try starting with a basic sprayer first. I often convince myself to wait until I can purchase a top of the line cordless tool. Hi Christina! Thank you for another awesome post. Your content has often helped me get through many of my DIY projects. I have a Graco sprayer and have been intimidated by it as well. I need to take it out to give it another try. Lots of extra paint used. But I know if I figure it out the finish would be amazing. Glad to know it was not just me that struggled with it. The Dixie belle color is beautiful. I have not tried that paint yet but plan to it seems to always come out nicely. I appreciate you sharing all of your knowledgeable and mistakes. Christina, i have never used a sprayer, but i will at some time. The finish looks very smooth…..and professional. I also think the process of cleaning etc is really important, although there is a number of steps with the Graco, I would still buy one because the advantages are fantastic. Dixie Bell paint is amazing so good products =good results 👏👏👏

I JUST received my Graco Ultra after weeks of researching what sprayer I wanted since my Wagner died. I’ve seen FFT use it but your detailed review of the sprayer was the only one I’ve seen by a furniture painter. I think I better stick with a Wagner until I’m ready for a pneumatic sprayer. WOW! What a beautiful piece! Your week looked like mine! I had a desk completed (almost) until I put on the topcoat and I went over the piece on top too much and/or too heavily AND when it was partially drying on places, I went over it again as I thought it didn't have ENOUGH topcoat on those parts. SOOOO, it made a spider web looking cracked places in those areas! YUCK! We live and learn! I had to sand down the top AND a place near the bottom that sagged! UGH! I just repainted those areas and am praying I don't go too heavy tomorrow when I REtopcoat it! :) Say a prayer.....amen. I am pretty strong THIS week, because I thought it was going to kill me. And YES, there is crying in furniture painting. LOL I recovered and learned, as always! :) Take care and Happy Holidays!! :)

That dresser was beautiful before. I am very fond of painting wood but this dresser and the knobs it came with was gorgeous. A little polish and restore was all she needed. I have to say I liked the before better on this one.

I love that paint color SO much!! It's beautiful with the gold hardware!! Spray painting still intimidates me though, LOL. I feel like it could take the joy out of painting for me, but I also don't have space for it, so that's something. It looks great though! You did so well for your first time with a new sprayer! I AM very curious about using a sprayer to paint interior walls, LOL! Imaging being able to spray paint a ceiling rather than use a roller!

Change the grey tip guard to a blue one and you can use FFLP (fine finish low pressure, green colored) nozzles which are great for furniture and cabinets.

Bravo on testing this on camera! The piece did turn out beautiful even though you had a lot of growing pains with the sprayer. Thank you so much for showing it to us. And I have not used stormy seas. I did not realize that it had some green undertones in it. So I may have to give that color a try!
